Mega Retiring Blog Hop Stop#5

Welcome to stop#5 of the Stampin' Addicts Mega Retiring Blog Hop. There are 27 stops along this hop and if you have been following the hop in order you've just came from Lisa's Blog Stampin' My Life Away where she did a fantastic job in showcasing the stamp set "Together Forever". The retiring set I have chose to showcase is Refuge and Strength. This is a set that has wonderful sayings and I am sad to see it go. So lets get started shall we.
I chose to make 2 cards and alter a small notepad.

This first card showcases 4 items retiring. The stamp set Refuge and Strength, Orchid Opulence Cardstock, Cottage Wall DSP (which I LOVE!) and the Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon. Other products used were Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Certainly Celery, and Old Olive Cardstock, and the Butterfly Sizzlet Die

I think this card needs some more work but I'll have to get to you on that. Anyway I used SU's new embossing folder Square Lattice for the background. (Love this new folder!) and then the 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Circle Punches.

This last project is a memo pad that I got at a store for $1. Love those finds! Used the Cottage Wall Paper once again along with the Butterfly Sizzlet Die. I used the Extra Large Oval punch and the 1 1/4" Striped Old Olive Ribbon which is retiring also. Well that's all I've got to show you so if you're interested in leaving me a comment I'd love to hear what you think of my projects. So now please hop on over to Betty's Blog Kitty Stamp and see the wonderful creations she has come up with using the retiring stamp set "A Kind Word". Have a great hop!!!
