Stampin' Addicts Birthday Techniques Blog Hop Stop#10 Collage Stamping
Hi everyone and welcome to another great Stampin' Addicts Blog Hop. Stampin' Addicts is 2 years old so we thought we like to share some gifts with you by showcase 20 different techniques. If you've been following the hop in order you have just come from Sarah's Blog Sarah's Ink Spot where she did a beautiful job showcasing the Paper Piecing technique. After you leave my blog you will travel on to Debra's Blog Heartfelt Inkspiration and she is showcasing the Polished Stone technique. So now I'd like to show you my technique Collage stamping and what I came up with.
Collage stamping is very easy to do now that SU has clear stamps. All you have to do is put a bunch of stamps on one of the bigger clear blocks and there you have it. A really neat background that you can use for a number of things as you see here. I chose to use the Nature Walk stamp set for this project along with Baja Breeze (so glad they brought this color back) Very Vanilla, and Early Espresso for my ink.For my card I chose to use SU Very Vanilla seam binding to add an extra touch and used the extra large Oval punch to stamp my greeting on. I'm thinking this would be a really pretty watercolor technique card too. Just some soft Baja Breeze? Ok enough...
So if your going to have a birthday you need gift bag right? So here is my gift bag and I tied it together with Very Vanilla and Baja Breeze seam binding, also using the extra large Oval punch for my hole at the top. This was just a plane little brown paper sack.
Then a little present to go inside... an altered mini composition books. If you have never altered any of the comp books let me tell you it's very "addicting". Let's see so again I used the same seam binding and then I used the stamp set Tiny Tags and the Medium Jewelry Tag punch to punch them out, tied together with some Linen Thread and there you have it. I hope you've enjoyed your stop and now it's time to "Hop". Monday, February 21, 2011
Card Portfolio
Super fun little card portfolio I made using Mary Brown's tutorial found on her blog. I used SU's stamp set Easter Blooms, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, and Love Letter DSP.
Inside view. I used the notecards and envys to make my cards and they are a little bit to little for it. So I think I'll downsize the portfolio a little bit for the next one. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Ladies Scrapbook & Craft Retreat at Camp Illiana
What a great time I had last week-end with some ladies from church. Arlinda, Sherri , Tammy and I traveled over to Camp Illiana for a 3 day scrap & craft retreat and a treat it was! We worked on several different projects and made some new friends too. Here is a picture of some comp book purses we made along with some new friends too.
Sitting by the nice warm fireplace getting our picture takin are (front row) Jill Staggs, Donna Matthews, Sherri Culter, (back row) Tammy Roberts, me :) Amy Stamm, and her sister Kelly. I almost forgot Arlinda took our picture. We had so much fun! (Oh, did I already say that) We worked on projects all day and night, the devotions and music were wonderful and the food was great. Angela Buhr did a great job as coordinator this year! Thanks Angela! I'll post close ups of my purses later, (which by the way were made from a tutorial Becky Robert's had on her blog for FREE. Have a great day everyone!
