Happy Thanksgiving

As I begin today, I remind myself of all the things I am thankful for, and here's the top 10:
  1. God, with him there is meaning to life.
  2. Jesus, without him there is no after life.
  3. Freedom of Choice (maybe to much freedom?)
  4. The men and women who died protecting our Country and the people who still protect it.
  5. Family
  6. Friends
  7. Home
  8. Food
  9. Clothing
  10. Doctors

Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving. I will be enjoying Thanksgiving with my family at my house this year and I'm fixing the turkey. First time for me cooking a turkey, so we'll see how that goes. Gotta go clean of the dinning room table as it is covered with stampin stuff,(imagine that!)LOL See you tomorrow!

I'm 24 for 24 Today with a Cute Little Desk Calendar!

Today I've got a desk calendar to share with you. This idea came from one of the swaps I received at regionals...and I can't find my swap to tell you who's it was! All I could find was a picture in my files of it. So I made up my own measurements, which I think looks pretty close. Here's what I used: for the base a piece of Kraft card stock 6"x 11", I scored it at 4 1/2", 5 1/2", & 6 1/2", I guess I should have shown a side view. It makes a triangle, then you tie it together at the top. I used the small window punch for the top hole.
Other Card stock: Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, and WW
Inks: Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede, Versamark
Stamp Sets: Of the Earth (Hostess Set) & Refuge and Strength
Punches: Wide Oval and the Curly Label Punch
Other: Big Shot and Backgrounds #1

Today's post is just to let you know SU has a big sale going on right now. You can click over to the left on the Sale sign and it will take you to the SU sight. I couldn't figure out how to make it go to my demo site, so if'd you'd like to put me as your demo when you order that would be great. Still don't have much time to post about the craft fair results.(which weren't really that great). We are still in the fields trying to finish up with corn and I'm trying to clean house for fmaily coming over on Thanksgiving and try to come up with some ideas for a Christmas Stamp-a-Stack on Sunday! But I'm sure everyone is as busy. Always something to do, but never forget to give thanks to God for giving us the chance to be so busy! Have a nice evening everyone.

Punches I used were 1 1/4", 1 3/8", and the scallop circle punch oh and I used the 1/4" punch for the ball on Santa's hat. SU markers and the white unigel pen were used to add color. Have a Holly Jolly Christmas...

This is my 3rd day in a row to post! I think I'm doin' good. This tin is part of a project the ladies at my church will be doing next Monday night during Make-It Take-It with Twila. During November it's my job to do the program for the night. So here is part of it. It's a tin to hold Christmas tags. Now I haven't got my tags made yet so you'll have to check back in a couple of days to see them. Mean time, enjoy pictures of the tin.

This tin is altered using some of the retired Christmas DSP, which I just happened to have 3 packs of because I loved it so much! and I used my BS, Large Polka dot Background, and the 2 Christmas sizzlets from the mini and the Christmas level 2 Hostess stamp set.

I used Kraft, Bordering Blue, Soft Suede and the Christmas Cocoa Specialty DSP (from the Holiday Mini).Ink used was Soft Suede, along with the new Snowflake set from the mini makes it a great set. I love how it turned out! Thanks for stopping by, and come back to stamp a little longer with me!
