There are 15 stops along this "Hop". If you have been following the "Hop" in order then you have just arrived from Lisa Young's Blog "Add Ink and Stamp" where she showed off some beautiful creations she made using the I (Heart) Hearts stamp set. I love the baby card! Anyway, so the stamp set I'm showcasing is called Party This Way. I fell in love with this stamp set during SAB, it was one of the stamp sets I got for FREE.
Stamp Sets: Party This Way, On Your Birthday
Cardstock: Pacific Point, Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White
DSP: Under The Big Top, Brights Collection Paper Stack
Inks: Pacific Point, Real Red, Daffodil Yellow
Other: Big Shot, Basic Birthday Sizzlets Decorative Strip, Top Note Die, Paper Snips, Word Window Punch, Blender Pens, Dimensionals, White Baker's Twine, 1/8" Red Taffeta Ribbon, Slot Punch
This was a super fun card to make. I call it a double pop-up card. If someone knows the real name I'd love to hear it. I was trying to figure out how to maybe make the balloons seem like they were floating off, this was as close as I could get. I'll be sharing directions for this card next week. So check back on Wednesday.
So with every birthday set you have to have a gift card holder, right? This one is very easy to make. It uses the Top Note Die to form the slot for the gift card.
And last but not least you need a scrap page to put all those birthday pictures on. I used the Word Window Punch to punch out the candles so I wouldn't cut off the flame, added some White Baker's Twine to the balloons and it's ready to finish. Oops almost forgot I really like the Birthday Sizzlet Decorative Strip that SU sells adds a fun touch.
Remember get your favorite retiring stamp sets before they are gone forever! Now it's time to hop on over and see what cute things Heidi Baks has come up with using the stamp set Nursery Times on her blog "Running With Scissors". Thanks for hopping by.
