Stampin' Addicts Winter Blog Hop Stop #2!

Hello!  Welcome to Stampin' Addicts Winter Holiday Blog Hop.  We are so excited that you have decided to join us for a fun filled hop featuring Stampin' Up! Winter merchandise from the Holiday Catalog.  If you are following the "Hop" in order then you have just arrived from Stop #1 which was Rhonda's Blog: The Stampin' Bunny.  She featured the stamp set Cozy Christmas and the Home for Christmas DSP.  She did such a beautiful job on her projects.  This "Hop" has a total of 11 stops so I do hope you will stay and check them all out.  The stamp set I am featuring is called Happy Scenes and can be bundled with the framelits set called Hearth and Home for a 15% savings.  I will be featuring them together for the "Hop"
I had a lot of fun with this set as you can see in my group shot of projects.
My first card I chose to make was a simple card.  I used the pine tree stamp and the Let It Snow stamp. I love the photopolymer stamps, the way you can see through them and also how you can bend them into a different shape.  For instance like I did the Let It Snow stamp.  It is a straight line stamp but I was able to move it to make it more whimsical.  And I love how it turned out!
My second project is this fun card.  Now I don't know that I will make a ton of these but I bet my grandsons will like it.  It was a lot of fun to make but did take a couple of hours.  I turned the window on it's side to make a wider window.  There was some fussy cutting involved in this one also.  I stamped the tree on some of the "Home For Christmas" DSP and also cut out one of the cute santa's from that DSP and put him looking in the window.  The saying is from the stamp set "Oh What Fun".
When I saw this window image I immediately thought of how cute it would be as a luminary.  I cut 2 images out and added a piece of vellum between them that I had stamp the pine trees on in the Archival Black.  I made a stand for it using the 2 1/2" circle punch, then fussy cut a couple of poinsettias from the same DSP I used in my second project and also added a pretty gold glitter ribbon to the side of it.
I hope I have given you a little bit of inspiration today.  Thank you so much for stopping by and now it's time to head on over to Betty's BlogKitty Stamp and see the beautiful and inspiring projects that she has created for us.  See you next time!
