Just For You

Today I'm sharing a cas card that I made from my stampin' friend Teresa Simpson's shoebox swap card.  Mine is on the left and hers is on the right.  Notice how you can get a completely different look just by changing up the colors and cardstock.  I think this may be one of my favorite stamp sets that you can get for FREE during Sale-a-bration with a $50 purchase.  Below is the stamp set and all the sayings it comes with.
Have a super day everyone and thanks for looking!

Stampin' Addicts 2016 Occasions Blog Hop

Hello Stampers! and welcome to Stampin' Addicts Occasions Catalog Blog Hop.  There are eight stops on the Hop so be sure and complete the circle so you can view all the super ideas we have come up with for your enjoyment.  Now if you are following the Hop in order then you have just arrived from Tanya's Blog Tinkerin-in-ink where she wow'd us with her projects featuring the stamp set Birthday Blooms.  Weren't they beautiful!  So now it's my turn.  The set I chose to feature is actually a bundle Number of Years which means there is a stamp set and a set of thinlits dies that goes with it and you save 15% if you buy the set.  Wohoo!
My mom just turned 80 this month and what a perfect stamp set to use to make a card for her to celebrate the wonderful occasion.  Along with that stamp set and thinlits set I also used the Brick Wall emboss folder and a piece of the beautiful paper from the new Love Blossoms DSP stack.  I wanted to add a scalloped edge to the focal point but since we don't have any current border punches I looked  through my thinlits and found that the Cutie Pie set had a scallop border thinlit so that's what I used.  The cardstock and ink: Blushing Bride, Rose Red, and Garden Green.  I added a small gold cord bow to finish it off.
I chose to make a pop-up card for my second card.  Also a fun little punch art bear card.  I used from the new Birthday Bouquet DSP for the front of my card.  The Happy Birthday Saying is from one of the new SAB sets.
Now for the FUN part.  Inside the card is the #2 and the phrase "Look Who's Turning" popping up from the top of it.  The Hooray is from the same SAB set as the Happy Birthday stamp set.  In the lower left hand corner I added a small cupcake with 2 candles from the fun new Party Punch Pack.
Here is another side view so you can see how I cut the card base to make a popup square.  I adhered some transparency strips to the back of the #2 to make the saying look like it was floating.  I hope you have enjoyed my projects.  Now it's time to Hop on over to Heidi's Blog RunningwScissorsStamper and see the creative and fun projects she has made using the stamp set Balloon Celebration.  Thanks again for joining us and hope you are inspired by our creativity.  Have a great day!

Love Blossoms Altered Frame

Hi everyone!  I am so excited to be chosen as a guest designer for my stampin' friend Bronwyn Eastley and her Colour Tree Challenge.   Here are the colors that she chose for this round.
Here is the fun project that I made using Stampin' Up's beautiful new Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack from our new Occasions catalog.  It is an altered frame turned into a pretty corkboard.  This was my gift that I made for my downline Christmas party using an unfinished 12 x 12 wooden scrapbook page frame.
I first painted the frame the added squares of the beautiful DSP by decoupaging them one at a time then sealing them when I was finished with another coat.  I then cut a cork square to fit and adhered it to a thick cardboard back then attached it with the prongs on the frame back.  I added a small calendar in the bottom left corner, and wrapped some of our beautiful crocheted ribbon around two ends.
I hot glued a few mini clothespins to it and attached Stampin' Up's Statement of The Heart to the top that I had stamped and layered on cardstock and DSP.
I then added a few roses made with our Spiral Flower Die and added them to the upper right corner.
and finished off with a few pretty thumbtacks altered by hot gluing some of our beautiful buttons to them.  I hope you enjoy my project today and hope to see you back soon!
