3-D Thursday Team Blog Hop - Wood Crate Framelits

Hello!  I am so glad you have joined us today.  We have little blog hop planned for you this week since it is the 5th Thursday of the month.  Our projects for this Hop will feature the Wood Crate Framelits.  If you have joined us in order, you have just arrived from Sarah's Blog - Sarah's Ink Spot.  Oh! didn't she have a super cute project for us!  I may just have to make one for my grandsons to look at, but not to touch.   They would love it!
I really struggled with this one.  I wanted to come up with something new that hadn't been done before.  When I was chatting with Sarah yesterday about it, I suddenly got an idea.  What if I made a crate star out of it?
and so I did.
This is a fun project is easy to make and can have different words hung as a banner across the front.  Change it up for an event or Holiday it's up to you.  Or it could easily be used lying flat as a candle holder or candy dish.
Stamps: Hardwood
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Ink: Soft Suede
For more info and full directions with pictures you can download the FREE Project sheet below.
And now it's time to hop on over to Debbie Henderson's Blog - Debbie's Designs.  I know you are just gonna love what she has created!  Don't forget to hop all the way around.  See you next Thursday!

Inky Friends - Suite Designs Blog Hop - Foil Frenzy Suite

Hi!  Welcome to the Inky Friends - Suite Blog Hop.  If you are following the hop in order then you have just arrived from my friend Rhonda's Blog - The Stampin Bunny.  What a fantastic job she did featuring the Suite Petal Garden.  Stampin' Up! has a variety of products that they have group together into "suites".  We have each chosen a "suite " to showcase.
The suite I chose to showcase is Foil Frenzy.
Foil Frenzy Suite
There are a lot of fun products in this suite!
I love the Specialty Designer Series paper that goes with this suite and it just happens to be called Foil Frenzy.  It's so pretty and comes in 4 colors  and 3 designs in each pack.  I chose to use the Berry Bliss.  The paper was perfect for paper purse (bag) making.  I then made a matching little gift card.
I first started with making a box then added sides to it.  I finished the sides off by adding a pretty punched strip of cardstock made using the Decorative Ribbon Boarder
This is what it looks like from the side with the top closed.
My finale project is a Birthday Card using the Happy Birthday Framelit and stamp set Happy Birthday Gorgeous also featured in this suite.  The stamp set has so many great possibilities!
I am sorry I didn't have more time to create but have been pretty busy hunting locust and locust shells with my triplet grandsons lately, I've had hardly any time to stamp.  I am just glad the frogs are gone for now.
Now it's time to hop on over to my friend Sarah Wills Blog - Sarah's Ink Spot and see the amazing creations she has come up with using the Be Merry Suite.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Stamp Reivew Crew - Window Shopping

Hello! Welcome to another Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop.  This hop features the stamp set -Window Shopping which also has a set of matching thinlits.

If after the hop you want to go back and look at our creations some more you can view them all by going to the main Stamp Review Crew Blog "here" and find them.  The Stamp Review Crew is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demos from around the world that focus on one stamp set per hop.  If you are hopping in order than you have just viewed the very talented Nikki Spencer's Blog - My Sandbox.  Her work is always amazing!  There are 15 stops on the hop so I hope you will join us for all of it!
For this hop I chose to focus on the small flower background stamp.  I had made a pinwheel card earlier in the year for a stamp camp and thought that since it was getting later in the year that it might make a pretty fall card.
I chose to make a Pinwheel card in Crushed Curry, Early Espresso & Very Vanilla.  I couldn't decide if I liked the base card  Early Espresso or Very Vanilla so I did one of each.
I used one of our new Emboss Folders - Garden Trellis to emboss the featured part of the card giving it a quilt look.  The first card has the embossed sticking up and the second card has the emboss pointing down or depossed to look more like stitching.  The stamp set is really quite versatile.  It has some great sayings as well as designs.  The stamp set also comes with a small stamp to add to the back of your card above your signature.  Which card do you like?  Leave me a comment telling me which you like and I will use a random generator a pick a winner.  The winner will receive the card they chose.  Hope you'll play along!  Now it's time to hop on over to the ever so talented Bronwyn Eastley's blog - Add Inktive Designs.  I can't wait to see what fabulous creations she has for us!  Have a great day!

Daisies For You

Today I want to share with you a simple Sympathy card I made for a dear friend.  I turned to the Daisy Punch to make a sweet card.  I used Crushed Curry Ink to sponge the edges of my flowers punch ed out from Crushed Curry Cardstock to give them more depth.  I folded them in half and added dimensionals between the fold to help them pop a bit.  I added the Old Artichoke stems.  The Burlap Background is a new background stamp we have and I love it!  I cut the corners out and cut fringe all the way around it to give it a frayed look.  The Sympathy saying is from the Rose Wonder stamp set and cut out with the matching thinlit die in the Rose Garden set.  Thanks for taking the time to stop by.  Have a good day!

3 - D Thursday Share - My Turn!

Hello, and welcome to 3 - D Thursday!  Each week one of our team members creates a fun project that comes with a FREE downloadable Project Sheet for you, so that you can recreate one of your own.  Today it's my turn!  I have a super fun little scrapbook for you!  Check it out!
One of my favorite things to do is create mini scrapbooks.  Our family had pictures taken last fall and I thought what better way to showcase them then in a little pocket scrapbook I could carry with me.
I made the scrapbook case from an empty Bitty Bow plastic box.  I love when I can take something old or used and recycling it into something new.
The pages for the scrapbook are also recycled from the heavy backing board from any pack of Designer Paper that Stampin' Up! sells.
The color pallet I chose for my project was fall themed.  Using Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, and Garden Green.
The stamped sentiment is from the set Paisleys and Posies.
The leaves were stamped and the diecut using the stamp set Colorful Seasons and matching thinlits.
Be sure and download the FREE project sheet and make your own!

3-D Thursday FREE Project

Hello!  Welcome to another 3-D Thursday FREE project share and PDF.  This weeks project is brought to you by the very talented Sarah Wills.  Sarah has created a bright and cheery Ghiradelli Chocolate box holder that would make a great back to school teacher gift, a special friend gift or even a thinking of you gift.
The new Daisy Punch from Stampin' Up! has been so popular this year that they have already depleted their stock twice!  It's back in stock now so grab yours before it's gone again.  The Foil Frenzy Specialty DSP makes the perfect little box to showcase this cute bouquet.
Isn't it a fun idea how that Sarah has used the chocolates to separate the flowers.  What a great idea!  Below you can find a listing of all the items that were used for this project and also a link to click on to download your FREE project sheet so you can create your own little flower pot.  I would love for you to order any of the items from my online store through the link given in my sidebar.  As always thanks for stopping by and come again so we can "Stamp A Little Longer".

Happy 70th Anniversary!

So my mom ask me to make an anniversary card for a very special couple that would be celebrating their 70th Anniversary.  Bob and Nancy Larson are indeed a very special couple.  Bob started  the Pinehaven Christian Childrens Ranch in Montana with just a dream.   He wanted to help kids that everyone had given up on to become great kids.  The ranch teaches kids the meaning of hard work and gives them self worth while teaching the love of God.
Here's the card I designed for them.
I decided to make the card a 5" x 7" card so all the members from our church could sign it before sending it to them.  I started with a Whisper White base, then added a payer of gold embossed acetate cardstock (retired),  I then added a layer of Sugar Plum and then topped it off with a layer of our beautiful Petal Garden DSP stack.
#144168
Using our Layering Ovals Thinlits and Our Gold Glimmer Paper and Whisper White cardstock I cut out a scallop oval and a regular oval and layered them together.  I then used the Large Numbered Framelits and Matching stamp set to cut out the numbers, stamped the "TH", and added the Anniversary banner to finish it off.  It was actually a very easy card.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Oh, I have had a few request to add a box so that you can be notified by email when I post to my blog, so I have added that to the top lefthand corner.  Have a good day everyone!
