This week was my turn at the designer's desk. I alway enjoy the month of February because I love helping my grandsons, nieces and nephews create valentines for their classemates at school. My grandson Reid is a huge Super Mario fan and loves all things Mario. So of course we had to make a treat cover for some Mario Fun Dips.
We started with Real Red for the basic matchbook then added some Pacific Point overalls with Daffodil Delight buttons. The version that I helped Reid make is a bit simpler and I'll show you that at the end of my post.
As you can see when you open it up the treat is attached to the inside. Here's a safety tip...When stapling your treat, staple from the back to the front that way you can cover the sharp part of the staple ends with your tag.
Sponging with inks and adding a little black high to the buttons always makes a project POP more. If you would like a FREE printable project sheet just click on the link below.
Reid was all smiles putting his Mario valentines together for his classmates at school.
Here's the easier version. No extra overall straps, no sponging, or highlights to buttons. But super kid friendly to make. I hope you've enjoyed my project this week.

Happy Valentine's Day!
