UStamp Wrapping Up the Holidays - My Mini Scrapbook

This round of Ustamp was is so much fun.  The designers have been making boxes and bags to put gifts in.  Sometimes the gifts are homemade and some are store bought.  The project I chose to make was a mini scrapbook and a matching box using the Scrappin Layout Kit from the Holiday mini.  It was a perfect idea because I made it into a gift for my daughter and son-in-law with pictures of their triplet boys in it.  So I was able to use the numbers 1,2,3 from the kit.  This would make a great little book for any family.  More poor neglected blog:(  Since my daughter had the triplets I've not had time to do much of anything, (but play with babies).  The boys are doing great.  Will post some pictures soon for you to enjoy.  Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin' Addicts New Catalog Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome to Stop #1 on the Stampin' Addicts New Catalog Blog Hop.  There are 13 Stops along the hop and each stop connects to the one before and after so no matter where you begin you can complete the whole circle.  If you have arrived from Paula's Blog you have just been treated to her wonderful creations using the stamp set Moving Forward which is Stampin' Ups Ronald McDonald set this year.  Didn't she do a super job!  Ok so let's get "hopping"!  The stamp set I chose to focus on is Chock-Full Of Cheer, a very fun and cheerful Christmas set.
For my first card I chose to use the ornament stamp from the set and added it to the branch from the Betsy's Blossoms stamp set.  I love Christmas cards done on Crumb Cake, don't know why, just do.
Stamp Sets: Chock-Full Of Cheer, Betsy's Blossoms
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Gumball Green, Very Vanilla
Inks: Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green
DSP: Be Of Good Cheer
Punches: 1 3/4" Circle, Scallop Trim Boarder
Other: Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine, 3/8" Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon, Dimensionals, Glue Dot, Adhesive, Paper Snips

For my second card I chose to make a smaller size note card. The finished size is 5" x 3 1/2".  I am so in love with the new Gumball Green color! Oh my! Love it!
For this card I stamp and punched our three of the ornaments and glued them together for a 3-D look.  I added a Cherry Cobbler Seambinding Bow to the top with a glue dot.
My last project is a little 3-D Project made with the Petite Pocket Die and Big Shot.  I used the same colors as in the other projects along with the following punches.
Punches: Snowflake, 1 3/8" Circle, 1 1/4" Circle.
BLOG CANDY ALERT!!!  I will be giving away the projects I made for the Hop.  So if you'd like to get your hands on the projects I made, please leave me a comment along with your e-mail or blog address so I can reach you if you are the winner.  And now it's time to Hop on over to Kim's Blog and see the wonderful creations she has come up with using the set For the Birds.  Have a great Hop everyone!

Baby Boys Everywhere!

Our daughter is pregant with triplets and they are all boys!  I made this card for her baby shower.
List of what I used:
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Whisper White. Chocolate Chip
DSP: Retired Bashful Blue
Stampin' Up! Marker: Chocolate Chip
Big Shot and Scallop Circle #2 Die (retired), Suare Lattice Folder
Punches: Word Window, 1" & 3/4" Circle, 1/4" Circle (retired for curls), Bird Builder (for handle),

But we are very happy with what God is about to bless us with truly.  Have a great day stampers!

My Daughter is Having Triplets! WoHOo!

I finally completed and printed off a project using MDS and you know what it wasn't that hard at all and it was really fun. My daughter is pregnant with triplets so this is her shower invite we came up with, plus since she has one more shower it was very easy to just change the info and print out more.  We are all going to be super busy taking care of these babies, please let me know if you'd like to come over and help out during a feeding. lol:)

Marissa's High School Memory Box

When my cousin Becky called and ask if I would do a memory box for her daughter's HS gradiation I was very happy to put together this box for her.  I have done smaller boxes with just the announcement and picture but never anything this big.  I attached velcro to the back of the Letter and to the paper behind so it could easily be taken of.  I used two announcments, one I kept complete the other I cut up as shown.  I attached the medals by poking two little holes on each side of one of the loops at the top of the medal and running a little wire from back to front to back then twisting it together.  Then I taped down the ribbon on the back side.  I love how it turned out and so did she.

Welcome to the UStamp with Dawn and Friends!! 3rd Anniversary Celebration Edition 2012 World Showcase Blog Hop.
If you have been following the Blog Hop from the beginning, you have just been wowed by Christie Daugherty - Team Spirit layout, wasn't that an AMAZING layout.  I love the way she showed step by step instructions how it would look using MDS?  WoHoO!

If you are just joining the Blog Hop, no problem, as you can start at any point. All the Designer's Blogs are linked together so you will be able to see ALL the FANTASTIC projects we have for you.
Since it is National Scrapbooking Month, I thought I would create a fun little scrapbook in a recycled plastic case.

I love to recycle trash into fun gifts and here is one that was really fun to make.  The clear box container I used was something I bought clip keyrings in.  I had found one of these mini scrapbooks online and thought it would be a fun little project to do.

A perfect little scrapbook to give as a gift or to tuck in your purse.  I did not glue my pictures onto the pages, but tucked them under the scallop border trim.  That's a tip that I forgot to put in my FREE PDF that can be found on the main UStamp Blog Hop Site.

Of course we always have to have a matching card for our UStamp events.  Here is just a bigger version of the front of my box.

As a Special Thank You for stopping by my blog I am giving away BLOG CANDY!!

EEKKKkk!  Did someone say BLOG CANDY!

Stampin' Addicts Retiring Blog Hop

Welcome to Stampin' Addicts Retiring Stamps Blog Hop
This hop will begin Friday, April 27 at noon and ends Sunday, April 29 at midnight.
Click here for the complete list of featured stamp sets.

There are 15 stops along this "Hop".  If you have been following the "Hop" in order then you have just arrived from Lisa Young's Blog "Add Ink and Stamp" where she showed off some beautiful creations she made using the I (Heart) Hearts stamp set.  I love the baby card!  Anyway, so the stamp set I'm showcasing is called Party This Way.  I fell in love with this stamp set during SAB, it was one of the stamp sets I got for FREE.

Stamp Sets: Party This Way, On Your Birthday
Cardstock: Pacific Point, Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White
DSP: Under The Big Top, Brights Collection Paper Stack
Inks: Pacific Point, Real Red, Daffodil Yellow
Other: Big Shot, Basic Birthday Sizzlets Decorative Strip, Top Note Die, Paper Snips, Word Window Punch, Blender Pens, Dimensionals, White Baker's Twine, 1/8" Red Taffeta Ribbon, Slot Punch

This was a super fun card to make.  I call it a double pop-up card.  If someone knows the real name I'd love to hear it.  I was trying to figure out how to maybe make the balloons seem like they were floating off, this was as close as I could get.  I'll be sharing directions for this card next week. So check back on Wednesday.
So with every birthday set you have to have a gift card holder, right?  This one is very easy to make.  It uses the Top Note Die to form the slot for the gift card.
And last but not least you need a scrap page to put all those birthday pictures on.  I used the Word Window Punch to punch out the candles so I wouldn't cut off the flame, added some White Baker's Twine to the balloons and it's ready to finish.  Oops almost forgot I really like the Birthday Sizzlet Decorative Strip that SU sells adds a fun touch.

Remember get your favorite retiring stamp sets before they are gone forever!  Now it's time to hop on over and see what cute things Heidi Baks has come up with using the stamp set Nursery Times on her blog "Running With Scissors".  Thanks for hopping by.

Chick Card Instructions

Here is what you need to make the Chick card:
Large Scallop Circle Die
Fun Flowers Die
Blossom Petal Punch
Owl Builder Punch
1" Square Punch
3/4" Circle Punch
1/2" Circle Punch
Ribbon
Fold a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Daffodile Delight cardstock in half and run through the big shot using the Large Scallop Circle Die, being sure to place the cardstock so as to not cut off three of the scallops.  This makes your card.  Now running the Scallop Circle through again just cutting 5 scallops this time.  Place the scallops piece over the missing scallops and adhere.  Add a bow to cover up the spot where you connect them.  Add two wings by punching out the largest Blossom Petal Punch and trim the tips off so they come to a point as shown. (I bent them slightly before adding them to my chick.)  For the feet cut out the biggest flower using the Fun Flowers Die and Tangerine Tango cardstock, add a dimensional to the back and attach to the body.  Trim off two feet as shown above.  For the eyes punch out two white circles using the 3/4" Circle Punch and two half circles in Daffodil Yellow.  Punch out two 1/2" circle in Black and two little bitty circles in white using the Owl Builder Punch.  When adding the eyelids I added dimensionals to the back to make them stand out more.  Using the 1" square punch punch a short 1" square using the Tangerine Tango  and fold in half.  Put her all together and your done!  And that's it!  Have a great day!  and Happy Easter!

I chose Easter/Passover for my Challenge Theme and decided to make a cute Chick card and treat holder.  Here's what I came up with.

I had a lot of fun making this card using our large Scallop Circle Die.  My inspiration came from Jill Franchett.  She made a cute little chick candy topper for our SU skinny Cello Bags.

and then you have to have a treat with some chocolate right?  This is a super easy little treat to make using our 2 1/2" circle punch to round off his head.  I found this idea online and I'll have to post from who later.  I scaled it down so that you can easily get 5 to a sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock.  If you'd like directions to my projects come back on Monday and check them out.  I hope you'll decide to play along with us on Saturday.  Can't wait to see what you come up with for your Easter Treats.  Thanks for playing!  Have a great Crafty Day! :)

"Shadows of Love" Project #1 for This Round of UStamp "Big Shot"

I made this shadow box using Stampin' Ups! new Designer Rosette Bigz XL Die.  This was such a fun and easy project to make.  The only hard part was trying to figure out where I wanted to place everything.  I also wanted to use a few things from my daughter's (Ginny) wedding, to maybe make it a little more personal, more than the pictures.  So I added a couple of the pearl pins that were stuck down inside her roses to the flower in the left hand corner of the page.  To view the picture bigger just click on it.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Stampin' Addicts Sale-a-bration Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stampin' Addicts Sale-a-bration Blog Hop. This Blog Hop will run Friday, January 27 thru Sunday, January 29.  Lot's of time to view all the stops. If you have been following the hop in order you have just arrived from Yapha's Blog where she wowed us with her projects made with the
"Sprinkled Expressions" Stamp Set. There are 18 stops on the hop and I am stop #6.  So if you are just begining with my blog be sure and hop all the way around till you come back to my blog so you won't miss any of the fantastic projects that have been designed for your viewing pleasure. Ok on to my projects.  I also chose to showcase the stamp set "Sprinkled Expressions". I fell in love with this set the moment I saw it in the SAB Flyer.  So on to my projects.

For my first card I chose to make a Valentine.  Now looking at this card you are probably thinking that my colors are Red and Black, right?  How about Poppy Parade and Black, yep that's right.  The DSP I used for background was Everyday Enchantment and I have to say it has me under it's spell because I ♥ it!  So that means I have to buy lot's more Stampin' Up stuff so I can hord a bunch of this beautiful paper.  Oops sorry on to card #2...

So I'm not to sure about this one, I really wanted it to look like a lot of shooting stars, I think it needs a redo, just not quit what I had in my mind.  Has that ever happened to you?  But I do love the SAB ribbon. Eekk!!!Need more of that too. :)  Colors I used were Lucky Limeade and Poppy Parade.  Ok on to card #3...

Now I have to admit I kinda CAS'ed this one from the Stampin' Addicts Gallery  It belongs to smccain and I just fell in love with her card.  I changed it up a little and added my saying over to the side in a scallop circle.  Once again using that Wonderful SAB Designer Paper as my background.  Colors I used where Peach Parfait and Pool Party.  And for my last project I chose to finish the front of the journal we were given at Regionals in Louisville to alter.

Makes you happy just looking at it doesn't it? :o)  Again the yummy DSP that you can get for FREE along with the stamp set that you can get for FREE oh and did I mention you can get the ribbon and the brads for FREE and some of the cardstock I used for FREE. WoOHoO!  I used the large Scallop Square Die for my background and added some little pearls to finish it off.  I used Imagine from the Word Play Stamp set and the colors I used where Very Vanilla, Pool Party, and Poppy Parade.  Well that's all I have for you, I do want to thank you for stoping by and if you would be kind enough to leave a comment you'll be entered into a drawing to receive some BLOG CANDY, a "Sprinkled Expressions" Stamp Set and some samples of the DSP, ribbon and brads.  What do you think of that!  Now it's time for you to hop on over to Rhonda's Blog and see what fun things she has come up with using the stamp set "Outlined Occasions".  Happy Hopping!
