Stampin' Addicts New In Color Blog Hop

Hello Stampers! and welcome to the Stampin' Addicts (new) In Color Blog Hop.  I was really sad to see some of the older In Colors retire, but I don't think I will be sad for long as I'm lovin' the new ones. So sit back and hop with me as we take a look at the new colors.  There are 8 stops in the Hop and if you are hopping in order then you have just come from Kathleen's Blog where she wow'd us with the new "In Color" Tip Top Taupe.   Such a super job.  So I guess it's time for me to tell you The "In Color" I chose to showcase, and it is Watermelon Wonder.  Let's get to it!
Here is a group shot of the projects I made for the Hop.
I wanted to also show off the pretty In Color lace ribbon we have this year.  So my first card was very basic and simple using the stamp set Butterfly Basics.  I really like monochromatic cards. Very simple and great for  first time stampers.  I did stamp the flower image a second time on a scrap of paper and cut it our and popped it up in some places with dimensionals to help with a more 3D look.
My second card came right from the book except that I just used Watermelon Wonder for my hexagons.  With a little touch of Basic Gray to make it pop for the finished look.  The stamp set I used for this card was Six Sided Sampler along with the Butterflies Thinlits.
My last project is a fun little memo holder and some Blog Candy.  (If you think this little memo holder is cute, leave me a comment and you might just win one of your own.)  The DSP is from the fun  6 x 6 Cherry on Top DSP Paper Stack.  (Love it!)  I'm making these for my Customer Appreciation event on Saturday so I also added a friendly saying to the inside from the stamp set Sprinkles of Life which just happens to be the new stamp set for Ronald McDonald House Charities.  Stampin' Up! donates $3 every time on of these sets is sold.  I used the Labels Collections Framelits to give a finished look to the front flap.  (These framelits are on the retiring list.)  Thanks for stopping by and that completes the hop.  But if you are just starting the Hop then on you go to Yapha's Blog where she is featuring the yummy new "In Color" Cucumber Crush.  Let's go check out all the fun things she has made for us!

Sweet cards, wonderful balance of white space and a single color with lots of texture! And that post it note holder is adorable. I may have to get the Cherry on Top DSP just for that cherry paper, lol :)

Your fussy cutting skills out do mine with the flower on your first card! The six sided sampler is such a versatile set that gets over looked. Thanks for sharing a great little gift idea with the memo holder. Fantastic way to use up left over dsp pieces.
