Stampin Friends January Blog Hop - Love Theme

Hello! and welcome to this months Stampin' Friends Blog Hop.  Our theme this month is love. We have a great hop in store for you and if you have been following the hop in order you have just arrived here from Barbara Welch's Blog featuring her wonderful creations.  If you want to check back to take another look you can click on the button below and it will take you there.
DOn't forget to click on the next button at the bottom to continue on the hop with    blog.
So let's jump right in and show you what I have created for the Hop.
I chose to create a Valentine card with a matching Hershey Kiss Tent.
I chose to use the new Valentine Stamp Set called Sealed with Love.  Cardstocks I used were Pool Party, Real Red, Whisper White and the new DSP Paper Stack Sending Love.
For my Hershey Kiss Tent I chose the same colors and stamp set.  I actually made this project first then made the matching card.  I have posted a picture of the measurements for the tent.  I used the Scallop Tag Topper to finish off the edges at the tops of the treat holder.  I used a piece of our double sided Tear Tape to attach the Hershey Kisses.
Here are the measurements.  This is one of the easiest treat holder (tents) you will ever make!
Thanks so much for hopping with us today.  Now it's time to hop on over to Kirsteen Gill's Blog and see what crafty things she has come up with.

Stamp Review Crew - Playful Pals

Hello everyone, today is the 3rd Monday in January so it's time for another Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop.  For those who have never heard of it here is a little background.  We are as international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that get together on the first and third Monday of every month to do a blog hop.  Each hop features a single stamp set to give you lots of inspiration for that set.  And at any given time you can go to the Stamp Review Crew site and look up a stamp set that has been featured and check out all the creations that have been made with it.
This hop features the stamp set Playful Pals and if you have been following the Hop in order you have just arrived from Sue Plote's Blog and received some great inspiration from her project.
Here is all the fun shapes in the stamps set Playful Pals.
Here is my card.
It took me a little while to come up with something using this stamp set as trying to step outside the box. This is what I came up with, a whimsical flower card.  This stamp set is so fun to play with and has so many possibilities.
For my color pallet I chose Calypso Coral, Early Espresso, and Whisper White.  The Birthday saying is from the stamp set Rose Wonder.  Thanks for stopping by and now it's time to hop on over to Nicki Spencer's Blog and see what fun project she has for us using this stamp set.

What a wonderful surprise this morning to wake up to an email from Kittie over at Splitcoaststampers to tell me that I was chosen for the featured stamper in today's Featured Stamper Challenge.  Such a fun challenge.  It is where other stampers look at your gallery on Splitcoaststampers and CAS one of your cards but change up some things to make it their own with a link back to the original card so you can view it also.  If you would like to visit the gallery for the challenge here is the link.  Gallery  and here is my Gallery if you want to check it out also.  Check back later today for a fun new hop!  Have a good day everyone!

Stampin' Addicts Occasions Catalog Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin' Addicts Occasions Catalog Blog Hop featuring new stamp sets and products that are available to order now through May 31 of this year.  There are 6 stops on the hop and if you have been following the hop in order you have just arrived from Tanya's Blog where she featured the new stamp set Sealed With Love  Loved her ideas and can not wait to play with that set!
The stamp set I chose to feature is called Yummy In My Tummy.  I thought it was a very cute set and had some possibilities of some different techniques I wanted to showcase.
Here is what I came up with.
My first project, a card using the our new watercolor pencils and aqua painter to color the monster after stamping the image in Archival Black.  He looked like he needed to be holding something, so a quick look through the Sale-a-bration Brochure to find the Any Occasion stamp set and used the Happy Birthday and Banner string from it.
The card base is Bermuda Bay with some of the Bermuda Bay DSP as an added touch.
 Loved how it turned out.
My second project, another card.  This time using the other fun little monster and our Cucumber Crush Stampin' Write Marker, Cardstock, DSP and twine.  I stamped the word Hugs in Archival Black Ink and die cut with our Heart thinlites.  I added little hearts punched out using our Heart Boarder Punch.
My last project was what I wanted to do all along with this set, make a fun little monster candy box.  For the polka dot monster, I stamped him with Archival Black Ink on some of our new Valentine DSP stack and cut him out.  I then cut and scored some of our Thick White cardstock to form a box, then stamped another monster image on what would be the front of the box.  I cut out his tummy using our scalloped circle dies on both DSP and the white box front, adhered the dsp monster on the stamped image on the white box.  I cut a piece of our Window Sheet to fit inside the front of the box and adhered it.  I then filled it with Hershey Kisses.  I then decided I wanted to use the Yummy in my Tummy stamp to kinda fill in some of the window.  I stamped it on white and cut it out with our circle dies and then a little bigger scallop circle in red to put behind it.  Added a few more little red hearts from the Heart Border Punch.  I did use some of our retired red cotton ribbon to tie on the top to finish it off.
Here is a side view of the box.  The first group shot shows the box before I added the little saying.  I hope I have given you some ideas of how you can use this set.  Now it's time to hop on over to Mickie's Blog and see the crafty things she has come up with using the new stamp set That's The Tag.  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a good day!

Downline After Christmas Party - Part 2

After we ate lunch we were ready to start in so the first thing we did was play Dirty Santa.  This is a game where you draw numbers and then by numerical order pick a gift to unwrap or you can steal a gift that someone else has already picked and unwrapped.  Number 1 gets to go again at the end, so they can steal from anyone.  We had a lot of fun.  Here's pictures of who ended up with what.
Leila ended up with the frame that Robin altered.
Glenda ended up with the Clothesline frame that I altered.
Robin ended up with the vase and jar that Teresa altered.
Brenda with the canvas that Lori altered.
Lori with the gift that Leila brought.
Teresa with the candle that Leona altered.
Leona with the cup that Glenda altered.
Me with the bracelet (on my wrist) and the little bag she made to put it in.  It was tons of fun with the gals.  Stay tuned for part three tomorrow.  Swaps!
Have a great day!

Downline After Christmas Party - Part 1

Yesterday was one of my favorite parties of the year, my downline after Christmas Party.  These ladies have become some of my best friends.  I would never have met some of them if it hadn't been for stampin.  We had a great time togther.  eating, stampin, andt trading gifts.  Today's post is to show what I made for each of them and my gift for our gift exchange,
I made each of my girls one of these cups filled with some fun goodies.  This cup is double the size of my little Christmas cup.
Here is the project I decided to work on.  It's called a clothesline board.  I bought it at Hobby Lobby last year.
I used some of our new DSP called Tasty Treats Specialty Paper to alter it.  I also used the Scallop Tag Topper Punch and the Large Letters Framelits.
Thanks for looking and have a good day!
