Playing around with my Big Shot!

This is the project our Church's Ladies Fellowship will be making on November 8th. Super fast and easy. Ladies if you can thread a needle you can have one of these babies made in about 15 minutes after you get the circles of fleece cut out using the BS. I'm not kidding, these are FUN to make!!!

Fall is in the Air!

These are some little treat bags I made up for a craft fair last week. I got the bags from a LNS bulk buy. Sorry I have no idea where they purchased them from. Anyway I used the Fall Stamp Set "Falling Leaves" I thought they turned out pretty cute. It was a little tricky to put the M&M's in them at first, but I figured it out. These would make a nice little plate favor for a party don't you think? Have a good day everyone. See you tomorrow.

Mike's Birthday Card

So our son Michael had a birthday the other day and here is the card I made for him. Even though he just turned 31 he still likes homemade cards. Looks like a plain card when you first take a look, but when you open it up....

It looks like this! Ta da! I love pop up cards they are so fun and this bear is just the cutest! The bear is from the stamp st Under The Stars, the birthday saying is from Family Phrases. I used the 1/2" circle punch and a point from the smallest star punch to make the balloons!

Here is a sideview of the inside. Hey why don't you try one! See you tomorrow! Have a good day!

Metal Flashing Flower Tea Light Holders

This was one of a pair of Tea Light Holders I made for my Hostess at my last workshop. They are so fun and easy to make! Can't wait to make some using Coke cans! Top view.
Side view.
I put them together using glue dots, our mono didn't seem to want to dry. They are very light weight and the glue dots worked wonderful. No sharp edges either. So what are you waiting for get your Big Shot and Flower Folds die out and give it a try! and if you don't have one I'd love to order one for you!

I'm Back! Finally! Yepee!!!!!

Ok, so was anyone worried about me? Boy I sure was! What a Summer! My daughter became engaged Memorial week-end. Ok Great! She calls me about two weeks later and says "Mom, do you think you and dad can help us get a wedding together by August 28th!?!" WHAT!!! "Sure Sweetheart, you bet we can. My daughter was never going to marry a farmer. Ha! Ha! to that one. They wanted to get married before harvest, which was a good idea for us too since that's what we do. So the planning began. (Oh and let's not forget to throw the Stampin' Up! Convention in the mix, I wasn't gonna miss that one!) First I had to beg from anyone I could find to get enough of the Cool Caribbean cardstock for the invites and favors as this was her main color with a hint of pink. Here's what we ended up with. The wedding was outdoors at the Lasta Winery, beautiful place for a wedding! The fans did come in handy. I'll try and post some wedding pictures when I get some good ones back from the photographer. Keep checking back, I've got a lot more to share, now that I'm back to stampin"!!!! (I'm back in my happy place.)

Shower invite, wedding invite, registration card, program, wedding favor, and a cone to hold flowers to throw.
Better view of wedding stuff. We also made RSVP cards but I can't find one right now and after making 175 invites and everything else, I'm done for now.
Backside of fan that list wedding party.
Hope you have a great day!!!
Come back tomorrow!

My Project for Dawn's Summer U-Stamp is Posted!!!

Wow! How excited I was to see my project showing up on Dawn's U-stamp yesterday! I mean I know it was going to post sometime, but anyway here's my project. What can be better than recycling? This is a Crystal Light drink mix container that I altered. I got this idea from a friend of mine, (who used to be my downline). We got together one day and made different things. We used the round containers which now they have changed to the oval ones. Anyway I keep my ink pens in them to take to my workshops. Dawn suggested altering them to put those Silly Bands in that the kids are so crazy about right now. It also can be used as a gift container too. There is still time to sign up for this round of U-Stamp, lot's of fun summer ideas! See you there!
It also makes a great gift container! Mmmmmmmmmm love chocolate!

Mega Retiring Blog Hop Stop#5

Welcome to stop#5 of the Stampin' Addicts Mega Retiring Blog Hop. There are 27 stops along this hop and if you have been following the hop in order you've just came from Lisa's Blog Stampin' My Life Away where she did a fantastic job in showcasing the stamp set "Together Forever". The retiring set I have chose to showcase is Refuge and Strength. This is a set that has wonderful sayings and I am sad to see it go. So lets get started shall we.
I chose to make 2 cards and alter a small notepad.

This first card showcases 4 items retiring. The stamp set Refuge and Strength, Orchid Opulence Cardstock, Cottage Wall DSP (which I LOVE!) and the Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon. Other products used were Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Certainly Celery, and Old Olive Cardstock, and the Butterfly Sizzlet Die

I think this card needs some more work but I'll have to get to you on that. Anyway I used SU's new embossing folder Square Lattice for the background. (Love this new folder!) and then the 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Circle Punches.

This last project is a memo pad that I got at a store for $1. Love those finds! Used the Cottage Wall Paper once again along with the Butterfly Sizzlet Die. I used the Extra Large Oval punch and the 1 1/4" Striped Old Olive Ribbon which is retiring also. Well that's all I've got to show you so if you're interested in leaving me a comment I'd love to hear what you think of my projects. So now please hop on over to Betty's Blog Kitty Stamp and see the wonderful creations she has come up with using the retiring stamp set "A Kind Word". Have a great hop!!!

What I've been doing this month...

What a very busy month! I don't now where it went! we are still trying to get the rest of the corn and beans planted, just wish it would stop raining every time it's dry enough to get back in the fields! And although I have been busy I still would like to take a minute and remember all the men and women who have fought for our country and who guard her now so that we may enjoy our freedoms. God bless them and God bless America!

These cards and pages are some of the projects stampers and scrapers have done this week at Stamp-a-Stacks. This first one can be a money card or a gift card holder. Love the new Graduation set from SU!

It's made using the Top Note die.
a couple of cards, my friend and fellow demo Teri Herman came up with the baseball card, and the other two ideas where from demos as well.
A set of 6 x 6 Birthday Scrap pages.
6 x 6 scrapbook page using some of my friend and demo Shannon Bruner's stuff.
This is a Kraft envelope cut of at the top to hold a couple of pictures. Love that new Hostess Level 2 set from the mini! Too cute.

What the inside looks like, got the idea from a card we made at Regional's last year.
12 x 12 scrapbook page.
Another 12 x 12 scrapbook page.
..........and more Flip Flops! these are so addicting once you altering them!
Blue ones.
Green ones. All different colors.
OK, that's it for today, I promise to do better next month and remember the SU retiring list comes out tomorrow! I'm so excited to see what is on it! and there is such a DEAL on the SU starter kit. If you've ever thought about being a demo and earn some extra cash or just want to be a hobby demo so you can get a discount on the products that you love now's the time. Stampin' Up has put together a mini Starter kit for only $99 the month of June! That's right I said $99 for over $180 in products! Have a great day everyone and let me know if I can help you in anyway.

Hello, and welcome to Stampin' Addicts Summer Mini Blog Tour. This tour features sneak peaks of the stamp sets and accessories found in the new Stampin' Up! 2010 Summer Mini. The tour will run April 30 - May 2, so you have plenty of time to view all the stops. There are a total of 23 stop for your viewing pleasure. It doesn't matter where you begin on the "tour" because the blogs all link back together in a big circle. If you have been following the Blog Tour order you've just been to Sara's Blog: lilyinkpad and have seen her wonderful creations using the stamp set
Favorite Things. The set I have chosen to work with is called Blissful Bride, so let's get started shall we?
When I saw this set, I though it would make a nice Bridal Shower invitation. So that's what I made and a favor box and mints to match. I loved Debbie Henderson's wedding card layout and chose to use it for my invite. Here's what I used to make the card:
Blissful Bride and Introducing Stamp Sets, Basic Black, Melon Mambo Ink and Marker, White Craft Ink, Winter White Embossing Powder and Heat Tool. Wedding Specialty Paper "Bride", Melon Mambo, Basic Black, and Whisper White Cardstock. The Big Shot, Top Note Die, Scallop Circle Die #2, Trio Flower Punch, White Signo Gel Pen, and Melon Mambo Polka Dot Ribbon.
Here's what I used to make the box:
Besides the stamp set, the Big Shot and the Box #2 Die, Scallop Circle Die #2, Circle Die #2, Jewelry Tag Punch, Wedding Specialty Paper "Bride", Melon Mambo Cardstock Whisper White Cardstock, Basic Black Ink Pad, Melon Mambo and Green Galore Markers.

Last but not least, you can't forget the peppermint patties!!!
These were made using the same dies and Big Shot as the Box. Hey, I hoped you've enjoyed the tour so far and now I'll give you the link to Sarah's Blog: willysgirl where she is featuring the stamp set Bouquet Bunch. Thanks for stopping by and come back and visit soon!
