Purses Of All Sizes!

I made these two purses for my mother/daughter hostesses last night. I purchased the tutorial from Becky Roberts. I'll come back later and post a link to her blog info. She does such great work and explains directions very well.
Aren't they super cute! And they really weren't that hard to make!

Close up of the buckle with some Pretties rhinestones added. Gotta get another set of Pretties!
Demonstrated the faux Aligator skin technique. It really looks like it!!! That was FUN!
Purse card we made using the Circle Circus stamp set. I got my idea from a card in the SCS gallery, will try and post a link later.
Another card I had the girls make last night using the Great Friend stamp set and the Tea Party DSP. I love the color Basic Gray, but I still agree they need to rename it Charming Charcoal! It's really pretty especially used with PINK! Hey if you can't tell I'm really busy and need to get off of here and get some work done, I'll try and post some vacation pictures in a couple of days. Have a great stampin' day!

Cute Little Paper Bag Purse!!!

Isn't it just the cutest little purse, of course made with Razzleberry Lemonade DSP! My mom and I are making 32 of these little babys for our Ladies Fellowship Garden Party. I'll have to post a picture of each of the different ones we are making! I got the idea from Becky's Blog.
She said you could use any size bag, so of course I had some little bags handy, so that's what we used. This purse measures 4 1/2" long by 3" tall.
Close up of the brads and the closure.
Inside shot, now all we have to do is figure out what goes inside! Hey everyone have a great day and I'll see you soon!

Thinking of You

Today's kinda a sad day for me. I had a good friend pass away in February and today was her birthday. This is a card I made and sent to her husband to let him know we are thinking about him today. Still doesn't seem like she is gone. I really miss her. But I know I'll see her again someday!
I know I used some retiring colors on this card, but I really like the colors, they seem so soothing. I used little strips of paper for my thread on the buttons. Hope you have a nice day. It's raining here, so it's kinda gloomy. I think I need to go stamp and cheer myself up!

Love Tall Tales DSP

Good morning! Here's a card we made at my last workshop using the Tall Tales DSP, Animal Stories, Circle Circus, and Teenie Tiny Wishes Stamp sets. I decided after the fact that maybe this one had too many steps to it for a workshop, but the ladies had fun making it, just a little too time consuming for a workshop. So a mental note to self, keep them quick and easy, with no stressing! Have a stamperific day!

Wedding Scrapbook Pages

I've got to go out and mow, but before I do I wanted to share a link to Michelle's scrapbook pages she did of a friends wedding. I really need to work on my scrapbooking. I love her pages and the way she used a prettie and the corduroy buttons to add some depth and texture. I've got to get me some of those Gray corduroy buttons! So check it out here: Michelle's Blog

An Altered State of Mind!

Here's a tin I altered for my last hostess. It's a little bit bigger than the normal ones. Somethin' like 8 x 8. Jennifer is always decorating and redecorating her house, (I'm not talking about just changing the paint color, I'm talking about knocking walls out, then maybe putting them back in a year or so.) major stuff with the help of her husband of course, and they are really good at it too! But I was trying to come up with something she could keep ideas, color charts, material swatches, and other stuff in.

I used Tall Tales DSP and Old Olive DSP to cover the tin. Added some flowers cut with the BS and the 3 flower punch. Also Made some tags with the Define Your Life Stamp Set. Used the Soft Suede Ribbon and some Linen Thread. Of course we had to make it look old and dirty!
She loved the little tags I made! and of course I had to sponge all the edges to make it look old and dirty.
Inside the tin. I cut regular size folders down to fit and sponged them too!
Here's what one of the folders looked like! I used the Flowers Decorative Strip and Big Shot. I Really liked how they turned out! Hope you enjoyed your visit today. I'm thinking about maybe starting another blog or changing the name of this one to an "Altered State of Mind", Seems to be where my focus is lately. Hey, have a great day and come back and check in on me soon!

Warning the Following Post May Be Habit Forming!

This is a tin full of goodies I made for a birthday present. I'm having way to much fun altering stuff, it really doesn't seem right to have this much fun!!! Looking at this paper just makes me happy! I've got to get more of it, because I'm out!!! Thankfully I just got some of the other new papers to play with. I love you Stampin' Up!
Decorated tin using Razzleberry Lemonade DSP from Stampin' Up! Some pearls from the pretties kit, polka dot ribbon, and paper daisies made with Stampin' Up's Big Shot and Daisy Die. I am so in trouble with this new Catty from SU!!!
Birthday card using one of SU's new word sets called Teenie Tiny Wishes and new label punch!
Up close picture of the daisy on the flip flop, made out of white fun foam! with a Stampin' Up corduroy button!!! I've used all my Summer Sun button brads. Mental not to self, must get more corduroy buttons!!!
Flip flops! Aren't the cute! I know I've posted some before but these are made using corduroy buttons brads! When putting the flowers together, I glued each layer together and I did keep the circle that cut out in the centers and then let them dry, then used an ice pick to poke a hole down though the layers and made a hole in the middle of the Y in the flip flop and poked the brad through and affixed the flower that way. The brad holds!!!
Another one of my small notepads I got at K-mart close out and a matching pen. I did use the fun foam for these daisies also. I thought since they would be carried in a purse the fun foam would hold up better.
Close up of the back of my pen.
Another Kmart close out find. This is a small coupon keeper but I put a small travel size Kleenex in it. Perfect fit!!!
I used the fun foam for the daisy on this too!!! So I want to know are you addicted yet? Hey everyone have a great day and come back again to Stamp a Little Longer! See ya!

B Happy Altered Comp Book

This is a comp book and pen that I altered for a gift set. The lady is a bee collector. I thought it turned out pretty cute. Wish this set had stuck around a while longer, since I just got it a couple of months ago. Oh well, there's always something new to buy!
Close up of the comp book.

"Stamp Unto Others" Shoebox Swap

Talk about a FUN Saturday morning! What could be more fun than stamping with a bunch of fellow demonstrators who just happen to be some really great friends! and they are all so talented! We came away from Darla's with some really good swaps! The first one here is Lori's. Love the new in-colors!

This one is Darla's. She is our super upline. I am always anxious to see hers because she says she gets her best ideas while she is sleeping! I wish I could do that. Love this one, and I just got this set! I feel a CASE coming on!
This one is Shannon's. Love this too, and I just got this embossing folder, so it's going to be seen at my next workshop. You betcha! Great workshop card.

Teresa's card. She used the Top Note Die, cut one out then turned it around and cut it again. Pretty neat. Love the color combo!
This pair of cute little 3 x 3 cards belong to Kelly. She couldn't make it Friday night, but sent all the stuff for us to make this set. Love the way she did the ribbon!
This one is Teri's card. I love this set! Great card and she was such a sweetie for having those little bird houses cut out ahead of time for us. ( I think she knew I would whine about it) Right Teri? Love the sponging we did on this one.
And this one is mine. This was kinda a mixed case from two cards I saw in the SCS gallery. I love how you can use the Circus Circles to add spots to the Giraffe. Too fun! ... I am so glad I belong to such a fun group of gals. I always feel so energized after we've got together. Thanks for the great time ladies!

Razzleberry Lemonade Tin!

Ok, so this is my new FAVORITE DSP from Stampin' Up! It is so pretty. You've got to get some of this, I'm telling you it's gorgeous! There is such a variety in the pack I just love it! and the new incolor Polka Dot Ribbon is a must too! I added a Summer Sun Button Brad, some parts from the Pretties Kit, the Define Your Life Stamp punched out using the Large Oval Punch and the Scallop Oval to back it on. I'm thinking this one is going to have to stay with me!!! not giving it away, nope!

Red, White, & Blue Star Box

This is one of the table centerpieces some ladies and I made for our church family picnic next month. Of course we used nothing but the best supplies from Stampin' Up!
We used the Small Star Punch...
and the Large Star Punch.

We made this cute star box and you can find the tutorial here:

Star Box.

I used Stampin' Ups Paper Cutter and a Bone Folder instead of the Score Pal and it worked just fine.

Card stock we used: Real Red, Night Of Navy, Whisper White, and Jackpot DS Paper.

The box uses a 8 1/2" x 10 1/2" piece of card stock for the base, some scoring, folding, Mono Glue and Sticky Strip and you've got yourself a Star Box! Other non Stampin' Up items used were silver onion grass, red paper shred and wooden sticks.

I am so looking forward to the Family Picnic this year. We are going to have a parade and each family is to decorate a small red wagon as their float! Hey, thanks for stopping by and come back and we'll Stamp a Little Longer!

LOVE FUN FOAM!!! What can you do with it?!?

Ok, this is my new addiction for this week! Altered Flip Flops! So much fun to make!
Super quick and easy. The purple pair I altered for my hostesses little girl who just happens to love butterflies and of course pink and purple.

Then I had to make me a chocolate pair!!! Love the daisy die!!!
Love the BIG SHOT!!!
I demo'd how to make these at the work shop and gave them away as a door prize. They were really cute Lime Green with a white daisy and a yellow center.
Love it!
Here is a card I had them make using the daisy die after showing the flip flops. I got my idea from the card I made for our last blog hop on Stampin' Addicts. I sold one of each of the dies at the workshop that I demo'd!!!
