3D Thursday - Team Blog Hop - Mini Jam Jars

We are back in business with a Team Blog Hop and we have added five new members to the team for a total of eight.  Sadly we had to say goodbye to teammate Nicolle Belesimo as she is homeschooling her kids at home this year.  So let's get on with this fun Hop using SU's Mini Jam Jars.  If you are following the Hop in order you have just arrived from one of  our new teammates Darla Watson's Blog Scrap Happens Here with Darla.  I loved her take on the  Mini Jam Jar.  Ok, so here's mine.
I decided to do a Christmas project using my jar.  The jars come in a six pack and make up very nice for small gifts.  I added Dove Dark Chocolates to my jar.  Yum!  Anyone else like dark chocolate?  For my project I used the beautiful DSP Painted Christmas and Christmas Season Bundle and Christmas to Remember stamp set all from the Holiday mini.
Here's a picture of the jar outside of the box.
A picture to see how I attached the top together.
This last one shows how cute the jar is all by itself with some ribbon and the lid decorated.  I used the stamp set Frosted Gingerbread for the sentiment. Here's how I did it...

Box:
1. Cut a piece of Crumb Cake CS to 3 3/4" × 3 3/4".  Score @ 3/4" on all sides. Cut to where scorelines meet, fold up side and glue tabs to inside forming base of box.  Add a 5/8" x 9 1/2" piece of the DSP around it.
2. Cut a piece of Crumb Cake CS to 1 1/8" x 7 1/4". Score @2 1/2" and 4 3/4". Add a 1" x 7 1/8" piece of DSP to it and then adhere to opposite sides of box base in the middle on outside.
3. Cut (2) 1 1/8" x 4 1/4" pieces of Crumb Cake CS and score them at 2 1/2" and 3 5/8".  Round the top 2 corners of both pieces with the Detailed Trio Punch.  Cut (2) pieces of DSP 1" x 4 1/8" rounding the corners on one side of each.  Adhere them to the CS.  Punch a hole in the tops of each piece as shown in my 3rd picture.  Attach each piece to the remaining two opposite sides in the middle of box base on outside with glue.
4. I added a tag to my box using the Tailor Made Tags Dies and stamps and dies listed under picture one.  Cardstock used Real Red and Very Vanilla. Inks used were Crumb Cake,  Evening Evergreen,  Real Red,  and Soft Suede.  Ribbon used Open Weave Evening Evergreen.

Jar:
1. Cut a piece of 1/2" x 7" coordinating DSP and glue around side of jar lid.  Cut a piece of Open Weave Evening Evergreen ribbon and tie into a bow around it.
2. Punch out a 2" circle from DSP and attach to top of jar lid.  Using the Circle dies, punch out a Real Red scallop circle and a Very Vanilla circle.  Stamp saying the stamp set Frosted Gingerbread on the Very Vanilla circle and attach both circles to top of jar lid.  Fill jar with candy.

Finishing up:
Slide jar into box carefully.  Cut a piece of ribbon 6" long. Fold in half and thread the loop through holes of box straps and tag and pull ribbon back through it's loop. Your little gift box jar is complete.  Happy crafting!  Now its time to Hop on over to the very crafty Sarah Wills Blog Sarah's Ink Spot  and see what she has come up with using the Mini Jam Jars.
