Stampin' Addicts Birthday Techniques Blog Hop Stop#10 Collage Stamping
Hi everyone and welcome to another great Stampin' Addicts Blog Hop. Stampin' Addicts is 2 years old so we thought we like to share some gifts with you by showcase 20 different techniques. If you've been following the hop in order you have just come from Sarah's Blog Sarah's Ink Spot where she did a beautiful job showcasing the Paper Piecing technique. After you leave my blog you will travel on to Debra's Blog Heartfelt Inkspiration and she is showcasing the Polished Stone technique. So now I'd like to show you my technique Collage stamping and what I came up with.Collage stamping is very easy to do now that SU has clear stamps. All you have to do is put a bunch of stamps on one of the bigger clear blocks and there you have it. A really neat background that you can use for a number of things as you see here. I chose to use the Nature Walk stamp set for this project along with Baja Breeze (so glad they brought this color back) Very Vanilla, and Early Espresso for my ink.
For my card I chose to use SU Very Vanilla seam binding to add an extra touch and used the extra large Oval punch to stamp my greeting on. I'm thinking this would be a really pretty watercolor technique card too. Just some soft Baja Breeze? Ok enough...
Then a little present to go inside... an altered mini composition books. If you have never altered any of the comp books let me tell you it's very "addicting". Let's see so again I used the same seam binding and then I used the stamp set Tiny Tags and the Medium Jewelry Tag punch to punch them out, tied together with some Linen Thread and there you have it. I hope you've enjoyed your stop and now it's time to "Hop".
So if your going to have a birthday you need gift bag right? So here is my gift bag and I tied it together with Very Vanilla and Baja Breeze seam binding, also using the extra large Oval punch for my hole at the top. This was just a plane little brown paper sack.

We worked on several different projects and made some new friends too. Here is a picture of some comp book purses we made along with some new friends too.

Sitting by the nice warm fireplace getting our picture takin are (front row) Jill Staggs, Donna Matthews, Sherri Culter, (back row) Tammy Roberts, me :) Amy Stamm, and her sister Kelly. I almost forgot Arlinda took our picture. We had so much fun! (Oh, did I already say that) We worked on projects all day and night, the devotions and music were wonderful and the food was great. Angela Buhr did a great job as coordinator this year! Thanks Angela! I'll post close ups of my purses later, (which by the way were made from a tutorial Becky Robert's had on her blog for FREE. I thought you might like a close up of my card and the little Hershey nugget holders so...
I made this card using one of the new SAB sets "Punch Bunch". My color choices were Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz(two of my favorite new in-colors)!
These little boxes were made using the petal punch. It's just too cute! You put two together, I used glue dots. The stamp set I used was Filled with Love♥, and I just had to use some of our new red glitter paper!!! Thanks for stopping by and have a good day!

"Stamp Unto Others" after Christmas Party
So last night we had our Christmas get-together. It was soooo nice to get togther and stamp with this wonderful group of stampin' friends. We also had a gift exchange where we either made a gift or altered a gift using SU products. Here's some pictures of what the gifts were.
This was Darla's gift that I had for a little while. She altered a goodie jar using our Decor Elements.
Teresa is holding the gift that Lori altered. She took a canvas board and made it into a picture board using SU's fabric and those wonderful brads and lace. We all oood and aughed over it.
Then this is a picture of Kelly holding my gift which is an altered photo album block, which Robin who is sitting beside her ended up with. I don't know how I didn't get a pictue of you holding something Robin? I think it was because there was to much stealing going on at one time. Sorry about that.
Then this is my wonderful upline Darla, she is a great upline and a wonderful friend and she is holding Teri's gift that she made which is a framed stamped picture and verse and a checkbook holder which I ended up with. : )
Teri is holding a candle that Leona altered with a belly band of DSP, a ribbon and a button. We missed you Leona!
Then this is a beautiful tin of tea that Robin alterd with the new DSP from the Occasions mini and yes now I have to get some. It's beautiful!!!
Here's Jenni holding the gift that Kelly brought. She made a cute little Christmas picture using our Decor Elements, ribbon and a button.
And here is Kelly again with Jenni's gift. A little plastic ID scrapbook and mini notebook and pen. Love the bright colors!!!
Here's some pictures of my altered box. Not my best work, and it's was harder to do than I thought it would be. I purchased these a couple of years ago from an on-line store and YES I bought them all.
It comes with 5 different little pull set of eight sleeves. The front and back of the box has glass windows and you can add photos or whatever to them.
Top view of the box. Thanks for stopping by and I'll try and get posted the shoebox swaps tomorrow. It was so fun to get together and stamp with all of you last night! Hope to see you soon.
