My First Big Shot Scallop Square Purse!

Ok, so here it is! I love it and it was really easy to make after I decided to sit down and sew it together. I've really got to be in the mood to sew, but after I start I don't want to quit! So I had to go to Joann's and get some more material today!
Here's a close up. These are so easy to make! Can't wait to make more... See ya later.

I'm Very Thankful For My Customers...

Last night was my annual Customer Appreciation Night. I had a great turnout! I was so happy to see you all. We played Bingo and ended up with nine mystery hostesses. How fun is that! Here's what the ladies made. Actually they made their own thank you gift from me. You might think that's bad, but it's better if you make it yourself then I don't have to give you directions. (o:This was the Thank You gift. An altered DVD tin, which I got from a Late Night Stampers bulk buy and I need more!) I had everything cut and they just had to stamp and assemble it.

This is the inside view. On the left hand side are the SU color charts in color families for them to keep track of what they have and on the right is a scratch pad to sketch out designs or take notes.

They also made fun cards. An Easter Card with a punch art bunny! Very fun to make! and actually pretty easy. There are so many cute punch art bunnies out there! This is a combination of some of them.

and another card featuring a flower made with the eyelet border punch and a 1 x 12 piece of DSP. Donna over at DoStampin with Donna has a great video on how to make them. My card is pretty much a case of one of hers. The ladies got to pick the color of flower they wanted then added it to the Creamy Carmel background which I thought went with them all. Great choice Donna! Have a great day everyone!

Lady Bugs

Here's a couple of different versions of a lady bug card we made the other night at Sherri and Christi's workshop. Christi loves lady bugs!

The cards are pretty easy to make and are made using two stamp sets. Pick a Petal and Flight of the Butterfly. Along with some black circles and you've got a lady bug. Of course I got my idea from the lady bugs from several different cards I've seen, so no I'm not too clever. Have a great day everyone!

Can't Get Enough of Pink & Brown

Here's a couple of 3 x 3's that I did for an organized swap over at Stampin' Addicts.

And guess what I got in the mail yesterday? more of this Specialty paper so I'm good to go for awhile longer. Whew! Have a good day everyone, I've gotta go to work.

Some cards...

Ok, so here are so pictures of some cards that I told Joan I'd post, see I didn't forget! lol This is a little 3 x 3 that I made using a scrapin' kit leftovers.
This is a baby card I made at Shannon's Stamp-a-Stack
Another card from Shannon's Stamp-a-Stack
...another card from Shannon's Stamp-a-Stack
and this last one is a card that Darla made and gave to me. I have so much trouble with the way my camera shoots red. It doesn't like it I guess. Sorry for the bad picture, and by the way Joan I'm sending you the flyer. (: Hey everyone, I've got something to show you in a couple of days so stay tuned, I know you're on the edge of your seats! Right? Have a good day!

Remember me?!?

So you know the old saying that life gets in the way, well my life has been pretty busy lately, imagine that. Below is a card I made for a Butterfly Swap over at Stampin' Addicts and it's my entry this month in the So Shelli monthly challenge on Shelli's Blog. I got my idea from my good friend and upline Darla who made an easel card using the butterfly die and this stamped verse. Hey if you don't own this die, trust me YOU NEED IT! (:What I used:
Whimsical Word Stamp Set
Orchid Opulance, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Whisper White Papers
and Cottage Wall DSP
Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die
Pennant Die (for the scallop circle)
Backgrounds 1 texturz plate
1 3/4" Circle Punch
Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon
Close up of saying.
Hope you have a great day! Catch you later!

Stamp A Stack Fundraiser Projects

Here are nine of the ten projects we did at the Fundraiser last week. We had 34 stampers, which was super! Everyone had fun.I tried to have a variety for the stampers since a couple of them were boys. The Racoon card, the Sweet Treat Valentine cup card, the Hershey bar holder, Bird card, and the little Friend card were pretty much CASES from other demos I found other places. There are lots of talented stampers out there for sure! Thank you for the ideas!

Gumballs For You!

Here is one of the Valentine cards that we made at the Valentine Stamp Camp Fundraiser for New Hebron Christian School. It's one of my favorites! I just love this new stamp set, whether you use it with the treat cups or the 1 3/4" circle punch, I think it turns out cute either way! We had a great turn out, 34 stampers! and half were kids. And although my stamps and some of my inks had the marks to prove it, everyone had a good time and really that's all that matters when it's all said and done.(:

What did I use?

Stamp Sets: Something Sweet, Tiny Tags
Cardstock: Whisper White, Real Red, & Basic Black
Inks: Real Red, Basic Black
Other: Black Gingham Ribbon,
Heart to Heart, Small Word Window, My Way, 1/2", and 1 3/4" punches
Dimensionals

Remember to let me know if you'd like to purchase anything from SU and if you spend $50 when you order from now until March 31 you get a FREE item from our Sale-a-Bration Flyer! Have a great day and come back and stamp a little longer with me.

Sale-A-Bration Blog Tour Stop # 21!

Welcome to the Stampin' Addicts SAB Blog Hop, each blog will be featuring different products from the free items available to you when you order during Sale-A-Bration. If you are traveling forward in the blog hop you just came from Heidi's blog Running w Scissors Stamper. She did such a super job showing the stamp set "Things I Love". What a great variety of projects, Heidi! I will be showcasing the stamp set "Very Thankful". It is the Ronald McDonald stamp set for this year and every time one is purchase SU donates $2.00 to Ronald McDonald House Charities. It can be found on the very last page of the big catty. In case you didn't know this year Stampin' Up! will be letting you pick from a limited list (on the last page of the SAB brochure) of stamp sets from the big Idea Book and Catalog and this one just happens to be on the list. There are also 6 wow products (stamps, a punch, and paper) in the SAB brochure available only through March 31st, 2010.*****Don't forget to check back after January 18th for the how-tos on the different projects I created.
The first couple of projects features the Turtle stamp and the Little Boy w/heart stamp. I chose to change the stamps a little bit. The turtle stamp had a "thank you" at the base of the turtle and I cut it off and mounted it on the side of the wooden block so I didin't have to use it all the time. Also I did not color in the "thank you" on the little boy's heart, but instead wrote "I love you" on the heart. The turtle box is made from the SU die Bitty Box and holds a Giradelli chocolate perfect! The little boy is covering a flat sucker.
The next 3 cards are "Thank you" cards. This is a pretty card using the peacock stamp and also one of SU's new punches that you can get for FREE w/ of $50 purchase. How fun!
This card is pretty much a CASE from the card shown in the big catty. I just love this color combo. Old Olive DSP, Chocolate Chip, and Kraft for the cardbase.
Last just a simple little "Thank you". No bells or whistles just a little thanks.
Next on the blog hop is Heather's blog, Candle with Two Ends. She will be showing you projects created with the stamp "Vintage Labels" (one of my favorites). So hop on over and see what she has instore for us. I hope you enjoyed seeing the projects made with the products that you can get free with a $50.00 purchase during Sale-A- Bration.
Contact your demo to find out how.
What's that you said, you want some Blog Candy! Ok leave me a comment and the winner will receive the "little turtle box and sucker". How's that. Hey, thanks for hopping with us this weekend and come back and "stamp a little longer" with me.

Throughly Modern Altered File Folder

How fun is this! I love these file folders that Stampin' Up has right now. You get 12 of them for $10.95. This is not my original idea and I'm sorry but I can't remember who came up with it, all I know is I found it in a demo forum. If I figure it out I'll let you know.I didn't have directions, just pictures to look at, sorta like the ones you see here of mine. Don't you think this would make a nice gift or maybe a super class project?
So can you figure out how to make one by looking at mine? I bet you can.
I did add a few more do dads just to make it funner! If you want to order any of the folders, I'd be happy to take care of it for you, just let me know!

Fraying Ribbon...

A few of you have ask to know how I frayed my ribbon for the mini clipboard, so here it is...Start by cutting a piece of ribbon the length you want...
Cut the edge off...
and start pulling small lengths of it apart...
until you get as much as you want...
to tie onto whatever you want. It's pretty simple. Congrats again to Lisa Naples on the blog candy win and I'll ship that out to you on Monday, Lisa! Hey, hope everyone has a great weekend , and come back soon so we came "stamp a little longer".(:

Stop # 19 of the 2010 Occasions Mini Blog Hop!!!

Happy New Year! and welcome to the 2010 Occasions Mini Blog Hop brought to you by Stampin' Addicts. This Blog Hop will feature sneak peaks of the stamp sets and accessories found in the 2010 Occasions Mini Catalog, and will run from January 1st through January 3rd. There are a total of 23 stops on this Hop, they link to each other, so it doesn't matter where you start, you'll end up back where you began. If you have been following the Blog Hop in order you've just been to Sara's Blog "Lily's Ink Pad" and have viewed her fun creations using the stamp set Fox and Friends. I have chosen the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper and the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt to use on my projects and I've got some Blog Candy for you, be sure and read the whole post! So lets get started.
First off is a little notebook I altered along with a mini clipboard. I can already tell I'm going to need more of this paper! Good thing it comes in a pack of 48 sheets! The stamp set I used to accent my clipboard was Great Friend. I also used the wide striped Old Olive ribbon for accents. The fringe on the mini clipboard is made by cutting down length ways on your ribbon. Then all you do is simply start pulling. Check back in a couple of days and I'll post a picture of how it's done.
Next I altered a tin, made a card, and altered another mini clipboard, this time using the stamp set For All You Do. I love this new DSP and the felt pieces! I think the felt pieces would make really cute little barrette accents too!
Close up of the tin. No stamping here! So if you like to just cut and paste, this project is for you!

Close up of the simple card and mini clipboard.
Be sure and leave me a comment to register for some Blog Candy which is the Memo Pad and Mini Clipboard I altered in my first picture. Well that's it, thanks for stopping by and now on to your next stop. To view Heather's Blog click here. Heather is showcasing the new chipboard books. So be sure and hop on over and take a look.

Birthday Wrap and a Gift Card

Actually this is Stampin' Up Christmas Wrap from a couple of years ago, but I use this paper to wrap birthday and baby gifts in. I wish they would come out with different paper every year, I just love it, it's really nice paper!Birthday present I wrapped with SU paper and a small gift card.
I used the stamp set called Party Hearty for my little card. Colors of paper and ink I used were Close to Cocoa and Bashful Blue, then I added some Dazzling Diamonds to the icing.

Some Christmas Gifts

Hey there everyone, can you believe it, I'm posting today! Talk about busy! Here are some gifts that were my favorites at our Church Ladies Fellowship Christmas party last night. We always have so much fun. We can make a gift or bring one and on the outside of the package find a scripture that will give a clue to what's inside. Then we draw numbers and go in order and of course you want #1 because you get to pick from it all when it's done. I got #2 sooo I didn't end up with what I really wanted but I got a really pretty angel necklace with earings to match. Anyway here we goooooooooo....

This was the project I made our SU calendar papers added to some of our SU blocks. This was a total CASE from TIffany's Blog "My Crafty World". So thank you Tiffany you were a life saver.
After I finished this I really didn't want to give it up, but I did, now to order some more calendars and blocks!!!

This is Becky Bellinger and she is holding the gift she actually got to keep! Your so lucky Becky! Her sister Jennifer Young had altered this for her gift. She took an old window and painted part of it with the blackboard paint, corked the other side, used scrabble tiles to spell notes and added a couple of clothespins to the side. What's funny is Becky had put the little green box in a garage sale and Jennifer had ask her if she could have it. LOL to funny! Glad you ended up with it Becky!
This last gift was the one Becky altered using a photo box. It was mine for about 1 minute! I told you I got #2! ): Anyway she used an old cookbook to make the dividers and them old recipes and magazines to cover the outside. It was really neat! Hope you all have a great day, I've gotta go do some Christmas cards and put up my tree, you heard right, MY TREE IS NOT UP YET!

Very Busy...

Sorry I haven't been posting anything, I've just been way to busy. My mom is scheduled to have 4 bypasses done on Dec. 18 and we are just trying to get a lot done between know and then. She is doing fine and actually to look at her you would never guess that she need open heart surgery so I guess that's why it's called the secret killer of woman, it's by the grace of God that they just happened to find that she had blockages. No chest pain, just has been tired and kinda dizzy sometimes for about a year. This will fix her up and she'll be ready to go! Please keep her in your prayers this coming Friday and that she'll get to come home on the 23rd.
