3D Thursday - Altered Dollar Tree Projects

Happy Thursday crafty friends! This week we decided to do something a little special since May has 5 Thursdays in it and it's the last week before we take a break for the summer. We decided to have some fun and check out what Dollar Tree had to offer. and each of us do a project this week. When I walked in through the doors there was a display of Father's Day stuff right in front of me. I spied some wooden blocks, right off the bat for $1.25 each. I bought six as I didn't know if I would spell out a word or decorate one...

I decided to go with just one. I altered the block into a friendship cube by cutting (6) 2 1/2" squares of the new Unbound Beauty 12' x 12" DSP (163372) then attaching them with Liquid Glue to all the sides. I used (3) different designs. I then used an emory board to go around the edges to give it a shabby chic look.

Each side has a different sentiment. Stamps sets I used were Happiest Day (163605), Cheerful Daisies (162390), So Sincere (162283), and Framed Florets (161815)

I stamped the sentiments in Petunia Pop (163811) onto Basic White Cardstock (159276) and cut it out using the next to the smallest Octagon shape. Next I cut out the next largest Shape in Petunia Pop (163801) to back it with and glued them to the Block on all four sides
I added some of the 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems (163781) to each side for a little sparkle. Oh, they are so pretty!
Here's a top view. It needed a little something extra so I dug around in my closet and found some silk flowers. The bigger flowers were white. I was going to mix up some reinker in my spritzer bottle with some alcohol, but I didn't have the Petunia Pop yet. Good gravy! How did that happen? Anyway so I used one of the Small Blending Brushes (160518) and my Petunia Pop Ink Pad to add some color. I thought it turned out pretty good. I made a bow from the Summer Splash Ribbon (163786) and hot glued it to the top along with the flowers.

From this...
To that...
I have to say I did have a lot of fun altering the wooden block. It's been awhile since I've thought outside the box. I hope you enjoyed my finale project of this round of 3D Thursday. I've added Darla's and Jennifer's links to their blogs below so you can check out their Dollar Tree Finds. We will see you back September!

3D Thursday - One Sheet Wonder Paper Purse

Happy Thursday Crafty Friends! I'm excited to say it's my turn this week to craft up some fun for you. I've got a super cute Paper Purse for you! This is not my original idea. I found a You Tube Video from The Posh Paper Lady showing how to make it. This is my take on it. I made a PDF using some of our new DSP. It's a very well put together and sturdy purse. Let's take a look at it shall we?
This week's project features the new Wildly Flowering 12" x 12" DSP (163323). Oh my! I LOVE this pretty paper!
The purse uses almost a whole sheet of the DSP, thus being called One Sheet Wonder Paper Purse.
I added some of the new Adhesive-Backed Textured Dots (163338) to finish off the front of it.
It's a nice size for a small gift, gift card or even some cookies! Overall it's about 4 1/2" x 4 3/4".
I really enjoyed making this project. It's actually pretty easy. Oh, I hope you will give it a try and please post a picture of the one you craft up. For the FREE PDF just click on the link below.

WOHOO! Have I got a sweet deal for you! I can’t wait for May, and I know you’re going to be excited about this, too! It's gonna be like Christmas in May! 🎄

3D Thursday - Chewing Gum / Gift Card Holder

Happy Thursday everyone! It's been a month since I posted our 3D projects and I apologize. My mom has been fading in health over the past year and mid April she passed away peacefully at her home on to her reward in Heaven where my dad has been waiting for her for almost 25 years. I was blessed with a wonderful mother and was so happy that we were able to keep her at home. Things are slowly getting back to normal. I've missed helping our daughter with our grandsons and am getting back in the swing of that once again. I've missed them so much. With all that being said, let's check out this week's project.

This week it was my turn at the craft desk. I whipped up a pretty little gift box that can hold a pack of gum and or a gift card. A perfect little gift box for upcoming Mother's Day or a special birthday.
I made the little box using one of our new Incolors that just happens to be one of our old regular colors. Pretty In Pink.
I used one of our new stamp bundle Flowers Of Beauty (163376). Oh! and did you know our new Catalog has launched and you can order from it now!
This project also uses the Unbound beauty DSP (163372). It is gorgeous! For more details and the FREE PDF on how to make this pretty little holder just click on the link below. Oh and as always you can click on the shop with me button at the left hand side and it will take you to my online store.  Happy crafting!
