October 2016 Craft Project Central - Project #7

Today is the launch of a sneak peek of Project #7 for the October Craft Project Central.

Today's project is designed by:

Merriest Wishes Tags & Gift Box Set!

Gift packaging is something we need throughout the year, especially during the holidays!  This gift box is designed to include four individual compartments, just perfect for the Merriest Wishes gift tags.  The tutorial also includes four gift tag designs. The tags can be easily customized to your favorite colors, images, or greetings, from the Merriest Wishes/Merry Tags Bundle.  Just make four of each design and you will have sixteen beautiful tags to give to that special person this year.  Or, you can leave off the divider and fill the Gift Box with candies!  The Gift Box containing the candy uses Candy Cane Christmas and Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper.

You can find this project and more at Craft Project Central.

Have a great day everyone and thanks for looking!

October 2016 Craft Project Central - Project #5

It's time for another Craft Project Central Project Post.  This fun christmas Project can be done with your kids and was created by:

Kid's DIY Christmas!

Children love to give gifts that they’ve made. How many of us have proudly worn a macaroni necklace created by one of our favorite children? This project will show you how to help your child create a gift that is useful and lasting. Best of all, children will learn a little about science and gardening. Fun and cheerful tags using the Here’s to Cheers bundle from the Stampin’ Up! 2016 Holiday Catalog complete the gifts, and they’re packaged in the 6” x 12” Gusseted Cellophane Bags. Use the leftover bags to create a cute wreath to hang on your front door. Children will be proud that they helped with décor and gift giving this season. This would make a fun class for older elementary or middle school children, or for children and parents.

If this project sounds like something you would enjoy making, then head on over to Craft Project Central and sign up for this months worth of Projects.  For $10 it's a steal!

Have a great day everyone!   Twila

October 2016 Craft Project Central - Project #3

Today's Craft Project Central's project for this month was created by Julie Beltramo.

And the name of her project is:

Thankful Gift Ensemble!

This project provides a plethora of ways to give thanks for the coming Thanksgiving Holiday, or for anytime you want to just be thankful! In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to quickly transform a Spiral Memo Pad into a Personal Thankful Journal. The Gift Bag Punch Board makes the coordinating Note Card Holder a snap to create, and just the right size to hold a plentiful stack of Note Cards to write all your thoughts and memories on. You’ll also make a simple, but trendy Tagged Mason Jar to hold all your thankful Note Cards. Be sure to include a Project Life Journaling Pen to write on the Note Cards that will fill the Jar. And, of course, the Thinking of You Card is the perfect partner to any or all of these projects for gift giving!

Hope you all will join us for this months round at Craft Project Central.  Thanks for stopping by and come back soon!

Stampin' Addicts Winter Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to the Stampin' Addicts Winter / Holiday Blog Hop.  We are so happy that you have decided to join us for this fun hop featuring stamp sets and products from the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini.  There are 6 stops on this hop so if you have been following the hop in order then you have just arrived from Sara's Blog where she featured the stamp set "Christmas Pines". She did such a beautiful job, didn't she?  I can't wait to CAS some of them.  Now if you have just started the hop here at my blog be sure and hop all the way around till you come back to mine so you don't miss any of the great craftiness of my friends.  Now on to my projects.  I chose to showcase the stamp set "Cookie Cutter Christmas" which just happens to have a matching punch called "Cookie Cutter Builder Punch" and if you buy the 2 products as a bundle you save 10%!  I love it when I can save money.  So let's get started.
This was such a fun set to work and having a matching punch made for fun & quick craftiness.
For my first project I made a quick and easy card using the reindeer stamp and cookie cutter punch.  The card base is Crumb Cake as is the reindeer.  I used Early Espresso Classic Ink.  The Merry Christmas Saying is from the stamp set "Greetings From Santa".  I use some of the Candy Cane Lane DSP to add some cheery layers to my card.
Project #2 was actually the first project I did.  I had this in my mind for awhile now.  I found some cute little red mittens at Joann Fabric and knew I wanted to use them for something.  I came up with a magnetic Tic Tac Toe tin.  I used the Santa and Reindeer stamps for this fun project.  I again chose to use some of the Candy Cane Lane DSP for the background.  The tin actually opens up and after you put your game pieces in the mittens you can keep them in the tin until you are ready to play again.  I think my triplet grandsons will have fun with this game tin.
This last fun little project was actually a fun project I found on pinterest.   Lou Kitzleman had made a reindeer and used a cork for it's body.  I found these cute little Rolos in a mixed bag of candy and thought they would be perfect!  For the body of the reindeer I punched out 2 more of the cookie cutter punched images the cut off the ears.  I then used the Early Espresso Stamp'in Write Marker to add hooves and outline to his legs.
Thank you for stoping by to look at my projects.  I hope you can find some inspiration from them and make them your own.  Now it's time to hop on over to Yapha's Blog and see the super fun projects she has made using the stamp set "Fa-la-la-la Friends".  Have a great day everyone!

October 2016 Craft Project Central Project #2

Today is the launch for the second project for Craft Project Central.  The project was created by Regina Andari and features a set of card.  If you love the sneak peak picture and would love the step by step tutorial on how to make them then just go to Craft Project Central.

“Basket of Wishes” Scraplings!

There are several interpretations of “scraplings”, and in this tutorial a scrapling is a card (or tag or any other creation) that gets its start from a scrap of cardstock or paper . . . or both!  Although the cards in this tutorial get their start from full sizes of cardstock and are presented with exact measurements, the intention is that you will feel inspired to create cards and tags of all shapes and sizes from your stash of scraps.  When you need to create a quick card but the scraps all seem too small, think outside the box and use them to create a non-standard sized card.  The good news is that scraplings should fit any size (mailable) envelope that you have on hand, and the recipient will enjoy the odd size/shape of the card!  This tutorial includes instructions for making a pocket holder that has been custom-designed to perfectly hold the set of “scraplings”.  Another thing to love about this tutorial is that it features one set of designer paper and (mostly) one stamp set.

Have a great day everyone and thanks for stopping by!

August Monthly Stamp Group

Hi everyone, just wanted to share what stampers made at my monthly stamp group in August.  I've been doing things a little differently for the past several months and I think it has helped.  I set up 3 tables in my garage at the farm house and have a project at each one to do.  The ladies then can sit and make each project and don't have to feel rushed.   The 2 cards we made were inspired by a wonderful stampin' friend, Lyssa Z.  The project in front is a travel kleenex pack covered with DSP.
Here are the hostesses gifts given to my mother/daughter hostesses for the month.  Thanks for looking everyone!  Have a great day!

Stampin Addicts Fall Holiday Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to the 2016 annual Stampin' Addicts Fall Holiday Blog Hop.  This hop begins Friday, Sept 2 at noonest and runs through Sunday September 4th.  For your convenience if you want to hop later on or check back on some info we have added perma links to make it easier to find our post.  Oh boy!  there are so many wonderful new fun products in our Holiday catalog this years and I am so excited that we get to showcase some of them for you.  I think Fall is my favorite time of year.  There are 6 stops on this hop and if you are follow in order then you have just arrived from Yapha's Blog where she did an amazing job showcasing the stamp set Totally Trees.  Didn't she do a great job?  So now it's my turn to inspire you with some Halloween fun using the stamp set Spooky Fun bundled with the Halloween Scenes Edgelits Dies.
Here is a group shot of my projects I made.  Ooooooo!  This is gonna be so fun!
For my first project I took my inspiration from the Holiday catalog.  It showed an example using the stamp set to make a treat sack.  So I played around with it and come up with this card.  The DSP I used for my projects is also found in the Holiday catty and called Halloween Night.

I had sooo much fun making this box card.  Eeekkkk!  This is such a fun style of card to make.  It folds up to fit nicely in an envelope and then makes a wonderful WOW!  When opened up.  I think my grandsons will love this one.
Heheheheeee!  My last project is a little witchy fun luminary.  I made a base to fit the box down into and added some of the trees to the outside for a better spooky effect and added a few tombstones.  The window coverings of the box were made from the framelit die envelopes.  I love the thicker texture and frostiness of the look it gives.  I keep my framelits and edgelits in binders on magnetic sheets so they are just taking up space.  I was very happy with how it turned out.  Well that's all I have for you today.  Now it's time to hop on over to Rhonda's blog and see the fun and exciting projects she has for us using the stamp set Cookie Cutter Halloween.  Oh, It's gonna be good!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Stampin Friends Sumner Fun Blog Hop

Hello! and welcome to this months Stampin' Friends Blog Hop.  I am so excited to be a guest designer for this months Hop!  This month's theme is Summer Fun.  Each of the stops features a card and a 3D item, so do be sure and check out all the stops.  If you are following the Hop in order then you have just arrived from Elizabeth Jeanne's blog where she wow'ed us with her great projects.  If
you somehow missed her blog you can click the Previous Button below and head back to check it out.
This month we have 3 awesome guests hoppers:
Twila Davis:  That's me!  Eeekk!
I am so excited be a guest once again with this wonderful group of talented stampers.  So let's get on to my projects.  Since the theme is summer I went with a fun fishy set of projects.
I decided to make a fun shaker card and a matching activity box for a car ride for my grandsons.
If you have never made a shaker card you have got to try it.  Stampin' Up! makes it super easy now that they carry Foam Adhesive Strips.  They also have Clear Window Sheets in their inventory.  The stamp set I chose to showcase is Seaside Shore.  I had made this card for my last stamp camp and don't know why I didn't emboss the blue with the new Seaside emboss folder but I did for this card and love how much it really made the card pop!  I used the 2" Circle punch for my window and glued a 2 1/2" square of the Window Sheet behind that thed added a circle of the Foam stip before adding the fishy stamped image, masking the fish to make the plant look like it was behind the fish.  With the help of the Lots of Labels framelits I think the card turned out just "swimmingly".
For my 3D project I thought it would be fun to create a fun travel box for my grandsons.  I am sure I will have to make 2 more as they are triplets.  The By The Shore DSP was a perfect choice for the background to cover one of the Wide Stamp Cases from Stampin' Up!  Finishing it off is some of the yummy new Ruched Dapper Denim Ribbon.
I added a covered magnetic sheet of dsp to the inside of the case and then made some fish magnets for some added fun.  Also a little pocket in the bottom for notes.  I added a notebook that I trimmed to fit inside and topped it off with some more of the By The Shore DSP.  All was let to do was alter an ink pen to match and that completed my project.

I hope you liked my projects.  And if you have a minute to leave me a comment, I would love to here what you thought of them.

Did you know the Stampin' Friends Blog Hop is having a Mystery Giveaway and you can earn multiple chances to win?!!!  Don't forget to comment with #SFJulyHop before July 24 at midnight for a chance to win this awesome giveaway!

Monthly Stamp Group Projects

Here are the projects we did this past week in my monthly stamp group at the farm.  When I saw Audrey Coons "light bulb" card I knew I had to case it.  I did a few simple things different. as to try and make it simply for a group to stamp.  Instead of watercoloring the yellow for the bulb I used the one of the leaf stamps from the new set Bunch of Blossoms.  I also used the speckle stamp from Gorgeous Grunge,  The little Fox Hershey tent came from Brenda Quintana's Blog were you can always find fun Hershey Kiss idea's.
This fun little box holds a candy bar and was Tammy's gift for hostessing this month along with a little bag of dsp and paper and other goodies.
Here is what it looks like on the inside.  Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog today and as always have a great day!

Stampin' Addicts New In Color Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stampin' Addicts In Color Blog Hop.  This hop begins June 10 and runs through June 12 we have added permalinks so if you ever want to hop again you will be able to do so.  I am so excited about these new incolors!  We have some really fun ideas lined up showcasing the colors so I hope you will hop all the way through.  There are 5 stops on the hop so it shouldn't take that long to view.  If you are following the hop in order then you have just arrived from Tanya's Blog where she showcased the new In Color Emerald Envy.  Didn't she do a wonderful job showcasing that beautiful new green!  Now it is my turn to showcase the new In Color Flirty Flamingo so here we go...
I had so much fun creating with this new In Color.  Let's take a closer look at my projects.
The first card I created I really wanted the color to "pop" so I backed it with Basic Black and I think that did the trick.  The saying I used for my card is from the new stamp set "Bunch of Blossoms" as is the flower I stamped and punched out with the "Blossom Builder" punch that goes with the stamp set.  You can bundle it and save 10%!  I also used some of the Flirty Flamingo DSP from the In Color DSP Stack.
My second project is a very simple one layer card.  Sometimes it's nice to just sit and just stamp and see what you come up with and not worry about layering.  Again the saying is from the "Bunch of Blossoms" stamp set.  The flower stamp I used is from the "Fresh Fruit" stamp set.
Oh!  This last project was sooo fun to make.  It's a 7 1/2" x 5 1/2" puzzle that you can send in the mail.  I used the stamp set "Fresh Fruit" for all of the puzzle pieces.   My tag was made using the stamp set "Thoughtful Banners".   I used our gorgeous new ribbon to make a pretty bow and then punch out 3 tags with the new "Classic Label" punch.  Adding one in our Glimmer Silver Paper helped to draw attention to the tag.   I also added a few small rhinestones to the puzzle itself to brighten it a bit.  I altered the boarder around the puzzle with more of the DSP Stack and made a matching envelope.   I hope you have enjoyed my projects I had to share with you and now it's time to hop over to Sara's Blog and see all the beautiful projects that she has made for us using the new In Color Peakaboo Peach.  Can't wait Sara!  Happy "Hopping" everyone!
