Stampin Friends April Blog Hop - BIrthday / Celebration

Hello! and welcome to this months Stampin Friends Blog Hop featuring Birthday / Celebrations.  Don't forget to follow the hop all the way around so you can see all the wonderful creations.
This month we have an amazing guest hopper with us that you should definitely check out!  We are so happy to have her creating with us!
Jennifer Knape Cerizo
Let's get started with my projects:
I LOVE Birthdays! and it is so fun to create something handmade.
The fun thing about making your own Birthday card is that you can create it anyway you like.  There are no limits to what you can do with paper.  I chose to make a fold over card using Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper called Party Animals with Pacific Point, Emerald Envy Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango and Whisper White cardstock.  I love how bright and cheery it is.  I also used the stamp set "Endless Birthday Wishes" and the "Happy" Thinlet Die from "Hello You".  The Balloon punch is called "Balloon Bouquet".  Several of the items I used are on clearance so be sure and check that out!
The saying on the inside of the card is from the stamp set "Birthday Blast".  You notice that there is a flap to the right of the card, I added this so I could tuck the front of my card under the balloons.
Here's a close up so you can see how I tucked it.  The birthday is stamped in Pacific Point on Heavy Whisper White cardstock.  I added 2 dimensionals underneath it and to the left, so it could help hole the flap down.  I also added the Emerald Envy balloon to the card front so it could act as a flap also.
And here is the fun part of the project suite, an altered paint can to hold the Birthday goodies in.  Thank goodness I always save all my ribbon.  It doesn't matter if it's retired or current, I love all ribbon!  Thank you so much for stopping by and looking at my creations.  Now it's time to hop on over to Andrea Tracy - Tucker's blog and check out her wonderful creations.  You can do that by clicking on her name in the list below.  Have a great day everyone!
