3D Thursday Blog Hop - Altered Altoid Tins

Happy New Year everyone!  Welcome to this week's 3D Thursday!  Since there are five Thursday in the month of January we are starting off with a Blog Hop of our four team members blogs.  And what a way to kick off January than with a new Occasions Catalog and the Sale-a-bration flyer!  Now through March 31 for every $50 in product you buy you can chose a FREE item from the SAB flyer for FREE!!!  Gotta love FREE!!!
For our hop, we have chosen to alter Altoid Tins.  If you are anything like me you love to make old things new again.  Altoid Tins are a great alterable.  If you are following the hop in order then you have just arrived from Sarah's Blog, Sarah's Ink Spot.  Her project was a WOW wasn't it!  Sarah never disappoints.  So if you are starting here at my blog be sure and hop all the way around because you won't be disappointed with any of our wonderful designers!  I promise!  Oh and today is my Birthday!  So be sure and read through the whole post for a Giveaway!!!  Ok enough chit chat!
Here's my altered Altoid Tin...
I chose the new Happiness Blooms Designer Series paper to cover my tin.  I love, love, love this new paper!  l chose the saying from the stamp set Detailed With Love stamped in Lovely Lipstick.
The inside looks as pretty as the outside.  I used Modge Podge to glue down and to seal the paper to the tin.  I made a little book that can be a journal or scrapbook by cutting down and using some of  the Happiness Blooms Memories & More Card Pack. (also new)
I cut twelve cards down to 2 1/8" x 3 1/2".
I hooked together twelve of these little cards to make my book.  Here's how I did it...
I cut twelve cards down to 2 1/8" x 3 1/2".  I put them together in pairs to begin with using retired Washi Tape and allowed a little under a 1/16" between them so they would lay flat.  I added the Washi Tape to the front and back of each pair.  After the first pair.  I put the next two on top of them so I would know where to add the tape.  I also used the Simple Score to keep everything lined up as it has a lip to put cardstock up against.  After I had all my pairs then I went back and made groups of four and so on.
And we have a new set of Flower Punches!!!  Bitty Blooms Punch Pack!  So I punched out to of the little flowers from the DSP and Modge Podged them.  Cut a slit in one and folded it over to make one flower stamp up a bit and glued them together, Modge Podged them again and added a Happiness Blooms Enamel Dot to the inside.  Also new!!!
Here's a front view.  These tins are really pretty easy to alter.  Just a little measuring.  The 12"x 12" Designer paper works great for going around the tin.  I put my tin face down on the opposite side of the DSP and drew around it with a pencil.  This gave me the shape and I then attached it and trimmed the edges with my Paper Snips.
One last look at the top of my tin.
So here is the giveaway!  In honor of my Birthday I'm going to give away my little altered Altoid Tin to someone who leaves me a comment on today's 3D Thursday post by random generator,   (United States Residents only).  If you'ld like to have this cute little tin leave me some happy thoughts.  If you would like to order any of the products I used I've added the list to the bottom of my post.  I would also be very happy if you would place that order with me and you can do so by clicking my "Shop" button to the left of my blog.  Happy shopping and don't forget about the FREE products!

well, this is the "Loveliest" tin I have ever seen. I adore the inside too. I like there was one theme for everyone to interpret. I was thinking of writing on the little booklet some inspirational thoughts.
Happiest Birthday to you.
Have a blessed day.

Happy birthday! I am totally loving this blog hop! I had a sack of tins to take to the art center for a donation but I think I will keep them a little longer as all these projects are just too much fun! I love how you made the little flowers too.
